Clen in meat Is a known issue in Mexico though.

Again, I think it comes down to a provenance and diligence issue. It's very difficult for a cyclist to check the provenance of all the meat that he eats. It could be argued in places where clen is an issue going vegetarian while there would be smart of course.

But it's very difficult for an international athlete to check the source and provenance of everything he eats.

It is much easier for an athlete to check the source of any supplements by sticking to well known and reputable brands, using usada information etc.

If Romero was positive for clen and had recently been to Mexico or Asia his odds would be better.

Clen is almost a separate case on it's item just because it is used in the meat industry.

Then, it may also be a convenient excuse a LA contador
