Yan is going to embarrass Merab

Merab is great but he is fighting often, I still pick Merab but I think he gets a finish this time. Round 4 TKO/KO.

Yan has never been finished, I can't remember him ever even being hurt by strikes. Merab has 0 KO/TKO finishes in about a zillion UFC fights.

So...okay lol? But seriously, no.

The first fight was so one sided it's hard to see a different result.

Merab is old for the division though so he could fall off a cliff randomly one day and not look the same anymore, but there isn't really any signs of that, he looks as good as ever in his last couple of fights.

It's combat sport though so weird things can happen, it only takes one strike to change everything. Yan not being a big KO artist though it's unlikely.

It's almost impossible to win a 5 round decision against Merab, you really do need some god tier TDD and a lot of attributes to go along with that. You spend all your time defending 50 takedown attempts, even if you defend them well you don't win rounds by defending takedowns, and you can't get any offence going when you're defending 50 takedowns. Yan's high guard really invites Merab to shoot for his legs.

I don't see it. Unless he catches Merab with a clean KO punch (basically a puncher's chance), Merab has only gotten better since they last fought -- and Yan is no spring chicken.

We shall see, but the machine is on the top now. Yan is closer to retirement so we will see if his cardio allows him to keep up. If so he can definitely win but anyone lacking in cardio will likely lose. Always a punchers chance for anyone he faces but that's low odds if you can't move after 3 rounds

I don’t see how he beats a healthy Yan. Yan isn’t one to lie and was clearly injured both his hand and leg in the first bout. Even then it was much closer than people make out.

Merab cant strike with Yan and Yan will outgrapple him this time. There are levels and Yan is the real Bantamweight goat.

We are going to see explosive Yan this time.

You called it.
