Was a weird decision to schedule Max and Allen after the interim fight agreed because if Allen beats Max, short of it being due to injury/dodgy decision etc, it's arguably much more impressive than Yair beating Emmett. Guess maybe UFC figures Allen doesn't fight that frequently. If he wins he'll probably sit out till 2024 anyway.

A one fight win streak despite the fact he's one fight removed from being dominated by the current champion would make to use your word Charles the obvious contender, over say a Fiviez with a win over Gaethje, a new contender for Islam and would who be on a what 7 fight streak with the W? Logically then it doesn't matter to you how Charles beats Dariush, just the fact he does, in your eyes it means he should unequivocally be next. Interesting.

They shouldn't make Benny vs Charles but they are and in May, so if you make Islam vs Volk in June, then you can do other fights after that.

Khabib and co don't like to start camps right after Ramadan so Islam vs. Volk 2 won't be in June unfortunately. They're extremely meticulous about prep and need everything to be perfect.

Islam has fought right after Ramadhan in 2021, he was ready to fight last year before Benny pulled out the second time, and he said last he is willing to do it again this year, why are you saying he won't?

Perfect, keep both divisions on hold for the next 6-12 months:
1) Yair not fighting until September. Hopefully both he and Volk are healthy, otherwise what - interim-interim-interim belt? The IMF Belt (Interim Mazefaka Belt)?
2) LW belt on hold until Conor/Chandler fight (since that's what Dana likely wants to do, no matter how much Dariush / Fiziev might actually deserve it more).

Nah, I believe Volk said he was in rush to fight Yair because Yair didn't want to fight until Sept, or at the very least, Volk said that while there was some immediate talk of a rematch.

Apologies Sherbro, I’m going on a rant...

I was extremely pissed off that Allen was passed over for the Interim or next TS, especially considering who they decided to go with for their Interim... Yair who’s was on an 1 fight streak, a questionable win that was stumbled into by way of injury to Rodriguez. Then you have Josh Emmett who’s on a nice streak, but his last win was a SD against Calvin was unimpressive (14 of 19 media outlets thought Kattar won). Insert Allen’s win who’s win over Kattar was similarly to Yair/Rodriguez, however additionally Allen is riding a 12 fight unbeaten streak.

The other factor of the snub is the fact that time wise they could’ve scheduled Bobby Knuckles to be the co-main for 284 and Allen vs. Yair/Josh to co-main UFC 286 for the TS elimination bout, without need for an Interim. To me it’s ludicrous the hoops the UFC will jump through without rhythm or reason to ram fighters of a certain demographic down out throat. Neither Emmett or Allen are needlemovers, but you’d figure something like the 12 fight winning streak would’ve trumped a 5 fight streak topped with a SD win that most had Josh losing ffs...

Isn't Holloway vs Allen happening in April? Maybe if Allen wins they can do Allen vs Volk in July and strip Yair of the interim belt unless he changes his mind and decides to fucking fight for a change. (dude seems to like being inactive and avoiding fights). If Islam vs Volk is going to happen, it needs to happen pretty soon after Ramadan too because Beneil should ABSOLUTELY get a title shot before years end.

they need to run the Islam/Volk fight back immediately, any other matchup is a joke. Go ahead and make paper interim champs in both divisions, the belts are ultimately meaningless anyways. This rematch will do more buys than single title fights in their respective divisions combined.
