International WTF is going on in China?

Before people get all nuts with these videos in the tech sector this style of thing is not unusual the difference is there is likely no profit sharing or stock options. Alibaba broke that trend by giving employees pretty good size pay packages and stock options from the NYSE. These people made millions off their stock so of course they were driven to be successful. It was very similar to the US model that went on from the early 1990's to 2002 when the tech bubble burst and that opened up a floodgate of regulations on how these options where rewarded. Many executives at Alibaba bought property in southern California and sent their kids to school in the state. Many moved to Australia to stay closer timewise and better living conditions though it cost even more them Southern California. Itr pretty much the same idea in the states you go to work for some fancy startup and give up your life for 10 years make 10's to hundreds of millions and move to Hawaii. Now everything pointing data security and quantum computing as GPU's "still best way to create big models" seemed to have run their course follow old boys like IBM and security companies like Palantir Technologies "makes me sick" and others in the defense and quantum computing game.

i mean, yes. literally.

it's definitely not better now than it was under mao. the further china embraces capitalism, the less empowered their workers are. it used to be much better.

if you think getting paid $25 an hour makes your life better than a chinese laborer, just remember a meal costs a couple bucks there and they don't lose their health care when they get fired or resign.

My vid is about salaries owed to them. Rendered service with no agreed upon compensation. Not the word salad you posted.

Well yeah, it was obviously "much better" when like 65% of the country was living below the poverty line. The rural poverty rate when Mao died was like 96%, and who wouldn't want that kind of success?

You kind of give up the trolling gimmick when you say silly things like the country with sweat shops, suicide nets at their factories and a minimum wage of like $2/hour is "much better" than people getting paid $20/hour to show up high and check their phones all day.

<Dany07>

yeah the western poverty line where you have to pay $1700 a month to live somewhere.

mao inherited a feudalist hyper-capitalist system where might meant right and life was morose for almost everyone in the country. he increased life expectancies by 32 years, increased literacy rates from 20% to 70%+, and increased industrial output by 11%+ year over year for multiple decades with full ownership over means of production for workers. additionally, in the years since, the continual effort of the CCP to put workers first brought the 80% of the population in poverty (after mao's death where previously the number was a good amount better) to a 9% number as of 2011. the number of americans under the poverty line as of 2023 is 11%.

Heros plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in. When Mao was born China was getting gangbanged by every single great power. When he died most of those powers had ceased to exist and China was on track to be number 1. He is perhaps the single most effective politican in human history.

There is a reason that the only people that want to immigrate to China are coming from North Korea.

A very good wake up call for the US I believe.. if what is being reported/said is true and its not all just ripped off western technology.

Competition is good, folks. Changes should be made. Improvement should never stop.
Tell that to the left. They would rather we focus on breakthroughs in sex changes.

I would rather we focus on breakthroughs in economic system changes.
But...but...in 10 or 20 years biological women could have a penis that can produce semen that could get biological males pregnant. Isn't that more important?

If China wins and takes over the world, I guarantee all the billionaires that sold out America will be locked up, then executed.

It's happened before. I forget which countries were involved but the winning country executed all the traitors and spies of the losing country. I watched a whole documentary on it years ago.

The leader was disgusted with the traitors and spies of the rival country and executed them all

Thats cool. But taking out capitalism will always be priority numero uno.

He just needed to break some eggs to get there, right?😂

According to one of my customers they are enjoying their Spring festival holiday, they get like 1-2 weeks off must be nice

Yeah forget ordering stuff from them during one these seasons there will be a back log of deliveries.

I've visited China several times and have some business interests with companies that trade from AliExpress.

The whole notion that China is third world is outdated, I've never felt so safe as when I was wandering around Hong Kong, Shanghai or Beijing at night.

It's time to face facts, China invested in their social capital, we didn't. As much as China mass produces shit, they also produce all your high end luxury goods rebranded as European/American. I'm in to my luxury watches and they are the ones making Swiss watch parts and machining cases that would cost £5000 here for £200.

They have their issues too. Their country is so big that moving to another area to work makes you a migrant. They have a system where you are born/registered at will limit how much health care and education benefits you can receive for your famiry. I believe it goes for pension too. It creates a caste system based on rural vs urban. Your status doesn't change even if you move to another area. I think those videos of people begging for unpaid wages are migrant workers.

They also had a series of mass murders. It happened a few months ago but those people are already executed.
