I can't be the only one that got gifts as a little kid, and then cash as I got older.
Sure, for some other holidays. But Valentine's day is about fucking. Who is giving out cash for that?

Edit: besides polish's uncle.

I'd totally be down with Craigslist if this was back home where I lived in WA. But there's something that freaks me out about buying second hand here in Utah as most of the desks on like the Facebook marketplace and Craigslist are for sale in West Valley City, Magna, or Kearns.... which are high crime, high gang activity area and I'm half worried what I'm buying is either stolen.... OR is a scam to fucking rob me.
If you find a promising one and post the ad for us, we'll have a look and analyze it and tell you that you're definitely going to be robbed.

More from Hanson (getting dragged big-time for this, and his responses suggest he doesn't have a handle on the reasons):

"In US, driving takes 51min/day, & causes 40K of 2.8M deaths. That's 3.5% of time, but only 1.4% of deaths. So relative to its place in our lives, driving is not that dangerous."

What....huh?

This is so illogical that it's hard to explain.

lol @ the "ban hospitals" comment

This guy isn't very smart.

He's smart, but he has some habits that lead to him occasionally taking some monumentally dumb positions--positions so dumb a normal person (who is much less intelligent) would never hold.

My favorite response was this:

Lololol.

But still, pew pews are fun.

Another day, another right-wing terrorist #ArmyofChrist

The FBI arrested an 18-year-old from Ohio for making online threats — including against the federal government and Planned Parenthood — and found a large cache of weapons, authorities said.

When agents raided the Boardman, Ohio, house where Justin Olsen was living they recovered 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols and roughly 10,000 rounds of ammunition, according to a criminal complaint written by FBI Special Agent Themistocles Tsarnas and seen by NBC News.

Olsen, who wrote under the name "ArmyOfChrist," was charged Monday with one count of threatening to assault a federal law enforcement officer.

"ArmyOfChrist discussed supporting mass shootings, and assault and/or targeting of Planned Parenthood," according to Tsarnas.

Assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor Michael McBride decided authorities had to act swiftly on the threats in the wake of the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, NBC affiliate WFMJ reports.

The case against Olsen began earlier this year when FBI agents in Anchorage, Alaska, working in a chat room called "iFunny," found a user named ArmyOfChrist making threatening comments.

That user wrote online that he supported the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 and the shootings of ATF agents at the siege of the Branch Davidians compound in Waco, Texas, in 1993.

Justin Olsen.Mahoning County Jail
"Hell even the Oklahoma City bombing shows that armed resistance is a viable method of political change. There is no legal solution," ArmyofChrist wrote on Aug. 6, according to the complaint. "In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight."

Agents raided his place of residence, described in the complaint as his father's home, on Aug. 7 and found a large number of guns and bullets throughout the house and in a gun vault in Olsen's room.

Olsen allegedly told agents that his writings were "only a joke."

Olsen also characterized his comments as "a hyperbolic conclusion based on the results of the Waco siege ... where the ATF slaughtered families," according to the complaint.

A message seeking comment was left with Olsen's attorney.

Agents seized 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols and roughly 10,000 rounds of ammunition during the arrest.

Olsen is still in custody and scheduled to make an appearance in U.S. District Court in Youngstown on Friday.
army of oh christ save me! that boy goin to get passed around like snacks at a party when he gets to prison...

It’s incompetence of the highest order is right. It’s incomprehensible. The incomprehensible questions: are why was he taken off of suicide watch, why was there no tape, why didn’t the guards make their rounds.

Literally every supervisor, the psychiatrist, the security administration, and the guards on his shift are all to blame and heads should roll to say the least.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but this stinks to me. @Gregolian I'm sure remembers the photos I shared of my facility. We get no funding, we’re understaffed, we’ve had riots and blackouts and fires and I’ve never had a successful suicide on my watch, plenty of attempts. And once someone is on suicide watch it’s impossible, it’s never happened here. In other cases sure it can and does happen, it’s sadly impossible with our funding to keep everyone safe at all times. And I hate to say that, it kills me.

So him being taken off of suicide watch is the first step in the incompetence at literally every level. Either that or a shitload of people were paid off. Either case is absolutely terrible.
Something just occurred to me. It seems everyone is assuming it was either a proper suicide due to official incompetence or foul play orchestrated by someone who could be implicated by Epstein. But what if Epstein himself paid them off out of desperation? Most guys on suicide watch are probably not as rich as him so maybe he's one of the only guys who could bribe guards to let him off himself.

He won't be in gen pop.

McVeigh wasn't, most child predators/rapists aren't, former gang members turned snitch/wanting out aren't and a guy like him won't be.

They're put in administrative segregation for their safety (as well as making it easier for the DOC guards to monitor them). Which might almost be worse... most ad-seg units only get like 1 hour a day out of their cells whether you're at county or in a protective custody wing of a prison your time out of cell is limited, you can't hold a prison job/go to school/attend treatment (if you have a drug issue) and you're usually stuck in your cell even when you eat.

How does he access his money from inside though? He would need someone else that has access to his accounts to conduct all that and I'd be amazed if his accounts weren't frozen just to keep him from fleeing post arrest.

I posted that in the Epstein thread, got no traction.

People seem to neglect that he was a man of extreme wealth so while other people failed at committing suicide in prison that shouldn't mean he couldn't.

He had the money and lawyers to get him off suicide watch. And if we're going down the rabbit hole had the money to pay guards to turn their backs

whats the point of being a big guy with lots of guns if youre scared to go buy a desk?

I don't have a concealed carry permit yet in Utah and would rather not have to carry a pistol to go give someone $50 to get a fucking desk.

I'd rather get like a $150 thing from Ikea or NewEgg and use it for 3 years then sell it off to some wannabe Twitch streamer when I move into like a house/condo I own rather than rent.

Idk but I wouldn't be surprised if he had some chain of surrogates who were able to find some way to compensate them even if not through a direct cash payment.

Yeah it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility I think.

This forum becomes more retarded by the day

I swear, the mods here are not who they once were. It’s the SJW Mods now

It's not about inadequacy, it's a medical condition called 'trickadeskaphobia.' The fear of being tricked about desks. It afflicts dozens.
