As the gentleman pointed out, headlines are more impactful than stories these days. Browsing headlines is the norm due to the sheer volume of material out there. I think if one were to perform an analysis of all NYT candidate-centric headlines for the past four months, one would find that Sanders's coverage has been the most negative of the top five candidates.

My theory is that one would find that if one were already determined to find that. Can you link to a study or even just a list of headlines so we can compare?

I was attempting to imply that no such study exists. The reason I believe what I wrote is that I browse NYT every day, multiple times a day and have done so for years.

@Tobacco you like my post about warroom fantasy football league, but not post a message asking to join?

How incredibly low energy of you.

this is what happens also when the US populace becomes full of retards too arrogant to actually get an education and learn about the consequences of international politics. instead you turn to conspiracy theories and one liners to pretend you know what the fuck you are talking about. these consequences are very real and happen very quickly, and are very, very fucking difficult to reverse once the floodgates are open. you idiots walk around here with your conspiracy theories and your isolationism bullshit with no understanding of what you are talking about, and it is a fucking embarrassment.

now, we are seeing those consequences and you morons pass it off as nothing or put the blame on something else (like liberals). so all i have to say to all you morons that support trump and supported this world is i hope you are fucking happy - oh, and to also go fuck yoruselves. morons.

Lol sloppy posts are always so rewarding

im sorry you cant get any more takers for your fantasy league...on the bright side, rugby world cup is comin up, anyone curious about this game may want to give this a watch

Think about this for a second:
Everyone in every law enforcement org in the country knew that if there was one person in the country that would commit suicide in the next couple of days, it would be Epstein. In a scenario where every aspect of his day could be monitored and controlled, he still managed to do it. Even if it can't be attributed to corruption, it is still a case of incompetence of the highest order. Heads need to roll.
It’s incompetence of the highest order is right. It’s incomprehensible. The incomprehensible questions: are why was he taken off of suicide watch, why was there no tape, why didn’t the guards make their rounds.

Literally every supervisor, the psychiatrist, the security administration, and the guards on his shift are all to blame and heads should roll to say the least.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but this stinks to me. @Gregolian I'm sure remembers the photos I shared of my facility. We get no funding, we’re understaffed, we’ve had riots and blackouts and fires and I’ve never had a successful suicide on my watch, plenty of attempts. And once someone is on suicide watch it’s impossible, it’s never happened here. In other cases sure it can and does happen, it’s sadly impossible with our funding to keep everyone safe at all times. And I hate to say that, it kills me.

So him being taken off of suicide watch is the first step in the incompetence at literally every level. Either that or a shitload of people were paid off. Either case is absolutely terrible.

You should have just made a fred. You'd have 20 teams by now if you did.

Thread where? Not a political topic. Post in sports bar wouldn't get war roomers.

@Lead, or any other mod, do I have permission to make a fantasy football thread in the warroom? If it can't stay up for the season, it being closed and dumped after we get 3 more recruits to have 12 teams would be plenty fine.

You guys ever have untrained people take guard shifts? That appears to have happened at MCC. They might just be a whole 'nother level of understaffed and underfunded. Also Epstein's lawyers pushed for the suicide watch to be lifted, and it probably wasn't that hard to get done, as the flipside of a judge denying him his rights is a potential liability in a very important case.

The being taken off suicide watch is probably explained by his lawyers' motion. If I'm the estate of Epstein I'd consider filing a lawsuit against them+prison.

All of us are possibly going to have to chip in and pay Epstein's estate.

Is that not just the most fucked up thing ever?

Well that all makes a big difference. It still begs the question, “why?”

Why would his attorney want him to be less protected? Why would they grant it to someone who attempted suicide already? Why in God’s name are untrained people working as guards?

None of that screams competence or propriety.

And all I’ll say is the local FDC is way nicer and better staffed than our state run ones. But that’s here, idk. Our guys (edit: I mean inmates) are psyched if they get sent there. Seems like the places with high profile inmates should get more funding not less.

Edit: and I’m not advancing any conspiracy theories. Just that I’ve literally been unable to comprehend this level of incompetence (while admittedly being too busy to read up everything on it). It’s jaw dropping.

It gets even more fucked up for those taxpayers who were molested by Epstein as children.

It is pretty bad, but pretty bad incompetence still seems way more likely than any CT I've heard.

I can't see how that would be enough for you to feel confident making a judgment here. Your perception would certainly be heavily colored by bias. Not a dig--that applies to anyone.

I mean...is it more fucked up than POS cops killing innocent people and then the taxpayers having to pay the million-dollar settlement to the family while the cop keeps getting his paycheck and pension?

Because that happens a lot.

<Fedor23>

I'd have thought it was okay. This thread and the PotWR elections aren't political.

You guys' mention of auction format got me curious and I did a couple mock ones on Yahoo. I'd very much be down for that. But it takes like 3x as long as a snake.

Of course. Incompetence is always more likely than grand schemes coming to fruition
