I honestly have no idea what argument you're trying to make. And I'm not sure that you do either.

One case involves the recollection and characterization of a public exchange: an exchange where a poster expressed his beliefs and they were the same beliefs he had expressed many times. The other case involves a lurid rumor about a poster's personal life that didn't take place publicly, that cannot be verified, and that aren't otherwise expressly consistent with other public dealings.

I am not presuming to know Greoric's heart....just presuming that I can read his posts. And, FTR as I said earlier, I quite liked Greoric. I thought he was among the most pleasant right-wingers here by far and he was generally more respectful toward me personally than just about any of the similarly racist posters.

It might be old news to you, but as someone fairly new to the lounge I don't know much about it. Doesn't mean it needs be rehashed, just that I find it interesting. We'd have some fruitful exchanges then next time he'd go ballistic. All in all he was an interesting dude who was notches above the trolls we're dealing with currently.
