Why even say
I think it would be better if there were more people like her on the Republican side of the aisle tbh

I didn’t even mention that because it’s never going to happen in a billion years. I actually thought about that before I posted and I said to myself “why even mention that because it’s a pipe dream” and here you are mentioning it lol

I've actually seen his novel referenced pertaining to absurdist philosophy. Albeit because @Trotsky was so convincing in his silly Crowder post I was pulling up Absurdist explanation videos until I realized he was quoting Cunt Crowder.

I chuckled to myself heartily when I posted that. I even deleted an internal reference to Fox News in the first couple sentences so that readers wouldn't know it was from a conservative chode.

Also, Ethan Hawke sucks. He recorded an audio book of Slaughterhouse 5 and was unbearable.

Incredible work, by the way I adore the fact that you were accused of being pro riot despite you constantly putting me in a realistic perspective all summer lmao.
Guys like @HereticBD surely have a lot of problems, but one of the primary issues imo is that their ignorance comes from this strange place where reality itself is arbitrary based on political slant. It makes for some entertaining face plants.

Did you finish the show? I rewatched the entire series a few days ago and it still kills me.

I feel like she's an older AOC who isn't reliant on twitter for support.

Oh man, when I was working at a bar, I would IRL shitpost by walking past the retired drunks and just saying "wikileaks" or "Obama" and watch old people get into fistfights. Ironically I was threatened to be fired from that bar for bringing up Chelsea Manning and apparently now they're all Q followers.

Well it seems to be the future of the DNC. Did you see this?

The entire staff of the Nevada Democratic Party quit after Democratic Socialists hit that clean fucking sweep.

The DSA is creeping, but what is most important is continuing to back policies that benefit every American regardless of their ideology.

BTW join the IWW. Get your red card, an injury to one is an injury to all.
Yes I did finish it, it was wonderful and I'm glad Ethan got full support by makinh it the way he wanted too. It showed that he had true passion of who John Brown was.

yes I did see that. If it improves workers rights I’m all for it.

Our head of HR is a 65 year old lady.... My direct report VP told me he'd find a work around (push my official leave date back a week even though I'll be gone) but it still pisses me off because other people are getting fucked on this

For some reason I thought getting paid out accrued vacation was law.

Exactly. Ex-fucking-zactly. This perspective has been fueled by the distinctly postmodernist (which just makes it hilarious given all the ignorant hand-wringing about postmodernism) rise of information denialism and cynicism toward not just traditional institutions and processes of acquiring knowledge but the very concept of validly acquired knowledge in general. It is an express prioritization of feeling over analysis: a wide ranging study of peaceful protest or examination of victim reports can be disproven by a single video of a vandal or brute (regardless of whether said video is related to protest, is from a different country, is depicted in cartoon, etc.).

As a white dude who dated brown/black women I never got any shit for it from family or friends. Did get shit for it from random black and brown dudes on occasion. My poor cousin used to date an Egyptian girl whose male family members would seek him out to beat his ass. Took two years of ass beatings before he finally gave up on her.

Should have been seeking pro advice.

@Amerikuracana

Katie Porter is probably the next Speaker of the House.

She's liked and respected by centrists and progressives.

She's like the Democratic version of Paul Ryan

I'll never understand why y'all always hating on @Jack V Savage. Dude is ideologically my enemy but I've never seen a single post of his that would warrant the hate he gets.

God damnit, sometimes when I read your posts I get why Stalin had Trotsky iced...

Not for real... I've been holding onto that joke for a hot minute.

You want to know something fucked up? The way right wingers are pretending to understand my hero Orwell... they're going to do the same thing to Chomsky when he passes...

Also give Hawke a chance. Watch one fucking episode.

I really want to read his book, He idolizes John Brown and it showed. Remember when they were filming and I was super nervous about it? Just incredible work. There was a book I read in my youth called "Lies My Teacher Told Me" and that's when I learned about John Brown and how US history has painted him as a religious zealot, a crazy person, because what white man would die to end slavery. There is a quote from Frederick Douglass himself (who did betray Brown in his cowardice)
His zeal in the cause of freedom was infinitely superior to mine. Mine was as the taper light, his was as the burning sun. Mine was bounded by time. His stretched away to the silent shores of eternity. I could speak for the slave. John Brown could fight for the slave. I could live for the slave. John Brown could die for the slave.

John Brown is the true founding father of this cursed nation.

I actually dig @HereticBD lol, but I've never seen him actually post anything of political substance. In all these years he's never made a single post of any substance, outside of his need to be bitter and attempting gotchas he has no value. @HereticBD types like someone who has been trying to quit smoking for years. I assumed nobody actually took him seriously. He's a funny fella though.

About to pick up this soon, The Zealot and the Emancipator: John Brown, Abraham Lincoln, and the Struggle for American Freedom Hardcover – Illustrated, October 6, 2020. Jack's a person who thinks he's right about everything, so he comes off as a douchebag

You want to know something fucked up? The way right wingers are pretending to understand my hero Orwell... they're going to do the same thing to Chomsky when he passes...

Yeah, I've actually thought about this. Chomsky hasn't penetrated the American mainstream in the same way as Orwell since he's not a fiction writer and therefore can't really be brought into K-12 curricula except as an historical dissident. But, at least in distinctly political arenas, I suspect he'll be aggressively appropriated by right-wing morons like Orwell has. They'll jump on his criticisms of the Democratic Party and of the neoliberal order, or they'll pick at his criticism of speech boycotts, or something like that.

Also give Hawke a chance. Watch one fucking episode.

I actually don't mind him. I love Training Day. But he was really bad narrating that book.
