So in normal reality terms it looks like Trump is going to be impeached. If Vance is to take over will this reduce some of the tension or will it just remain the same?

Would it placate some of the tension and drift the elections back to some form of moderacy or will it continue to veer out of control?

I wish jd Vance would take over.

I can't answer for the leftists of the forum but I feel like the answer is no. They aren't going to be happy with a republican in charge no matter who and jd would become the new hitler the second he took over the presidency.

It's not the fact that he's a Republican that's the issue, it's that he's a MAGA populist so substantively he's not different from Trump he just has less charisma. Trading out Trump for JD is like swapping out Palpatine for Doku or Megatron for Starscream.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Trump impeached and imprisoned for the sake of the country but I have few illusions that JD will be an improvement outside the fact that he'd be less effective.

Should Biden’s inner circle who committed fraud in his name be prosecuted?

It could be argued that Trump was elected because of the direction they took the country

lol… I bet you don’t think so.

What fraud?

Uh sure but why would they be prosecuted for that?

Of course I don't think they should be prosecuted unless they committed crimes like Trump did(conspiracy to overturn 2020 election, stealing classified documents etc).

Is Bernie not a populist ?

Feel like jd is maybe someone the left could work with on some things .....if they really wanted to.

But I don't know it for a fact it's more a feeling or the impression that I get. He doesn't seem like a bad guy to me. Like maybe he's a decent man.

I doubt it. The left views GOP members as the enemy, to be attacked with dishonest lawfare when ever possible.

Maybe a positive that Vance would have is he is less known, has less baggage to attack and go after. Vance is also quite skilled with his communication abilities.

Bernie is not a MAGA populist though. I'm sure he could find common ground on some things but MAGA populists are in favor of overhauling the constitutional order in favor of a muscular executive so they can more effectively wield it against their outgroups like immigrants, something I doubt Bernie is in favor of.

No idea where you get the impression, he comes off like a social climbing parasite. He's basically become the caricature of what he criticized in his book Hillbilly Eulogy and he did it for power.

How is somebody who picked a fight with Trump, was broken by Trump, turned out by Trump, then is now Trump's bitch supporting 100% of the chaos admin +policy "better"?????
Almost rather have the fake strongman than his cabin boy.

Anyone who values honesty, integrity, freedom, & a backbone in their leader wouldn't want that & considers it the same cycle of spoiled milk.

People who are fooled by used car salesmen, take their significant other back after cheating, & those donating to their Priest/Pastors private jet fund would like it better though. Lots of simps in America on both sides who might consider Vance an upgrade.

I mean it would be an improvement in that Vance wouldn’t be able to wield the same kind of authoritarian power Trump dies. He also at least seems to have somewhat of a conscience. That’s not enough to really make anyone happy but yeah I would prefer it if we had someone not actively trying to dismantle the country for personal profit

No. People like to forget but the left was just as insane about Bush Jr when he was president. They still have a stroke when they think about Reagan or Nixon.

This is just what they do when they lose. They have a tantrum for 4-8 years.

Everyone throws a tantrum when they don’t get what they want politically. Democrats control the media , so it’s more apparent when they do it.
