The thing about Joanna is she has a similar mentality as Ronda. She's gonna work her ass off to get better at her weaknesses.
JJ grappling coach is from Judo.
I take Ronda via armbar prior to round two.
Yes, easily. Ronda would bullrush because no girl in the 135 pound division has power in their hands nor an idea of keeping the distance, not a single one. Joanna would blow her face up if she did that. Joanna's takedown defense is pretty good. the best wrestlers in Joanna's division can't take her down. Ronda has excellent judo and she can probably toss Joanna in the clinch, but Joanna isn't retarded and will fight at a distance most of the fight and will wear Rousey down leading to a TKO. Joanna wins.

Her take down defense wasn't steller against Gadelha. It wasn't even that good. But there is no shame in being taken down by someone like Rousey.I think Joanna would tool her on the feet and her takedown defense has proven to be stellar. Still don't know if she could stop that takedown though. What say you sherdog?
Unless the striker knows how to keep the fight standing.I think the same as you. Unfortunately, most striker vs grappler contests end up in favor of the grappler.
No.
Sprawling against a single/double is nothing remotely like trying to stop a world class Judoka from tossing you on your head.
Olympic Judoka train their entire lives to stop other world class Judoka from tossing them, but it still happens. Training a handful of years in a MMA gym doesn't remotely prepare you for the level of grappling that JJ would face against Rousey.
Toss in that JJ would still have to defend against Rousey's striking (which has legit KO power) and it makes it even more difficult to avoid the take down.
Getting close to clinch with a muay thai champ who has a great jab and great control of distance and finishing power is not the same as closing the distance noob fighters and moms.
