Brock would have made short work of Noguiera at this point.
in his prime it might be a toss up. Nog had decent hands and good transitions. I think he could catch brock early or weather the storm until brock slowed down and control the fight. Brock could pin him down and pound him though
Yes he would have beaten Brock. He had a great defensive guard and ability to mitigate damage in those positions. He also had the submission threat of his back. Brock was pretty strong so I don't expect Nog to land a sub off his back. But I think he would get through the GNP and after round 3 Brock would gas and Big Nog would finish him. Although Nog wasn't a power puncher, I think the volume would get to Brock and eventually he would go down and get finished.
i think they both have clear paths to a winToss up? Lol
Light work for peak Nog.

Let's say Nog would have defeated Mir at UFC 92 and moved on to face Brock at UFC 100. Do you think he would have defeated Brock, or he would have gotten pummeled on the ground?
Brock would have killed him at that point of his career. His hips and knees were gone.
I swear Nog is one of the most overrated HWs along with Lesnar, Couture, and Cormier. Nog was 1 dimesional, very slow, injury prone due to childhood accident, and a terrible striker he also had poor takedowns and was not a physical specisman.
Nog would likely lose only because by that time Lesnar because pretty much submission proof. The only BJJ guys I would favor over Lesnar is Big Foot and Werdum and both are vastly superior strikers to Lesnar and hard to takedown or out grapple and able to always stand up also more athletic than Nog. And Big Foot would be just as heavy or heavier than Brock. The way to beat Lesnar is if takendown grapple to stand back up as Couture and Cain did. The only person who seemed to out wrestle Brock purely was Carwin and I suppose someone like Blaydes would due to his BJJ background as well.
Again Nog beats early Lesnar but if Frank Mir cannot submit Brock and escape Brocks grappling I do not see how the less athletic Nog would. The BJJ of Nog and Mir is very similar and let us not forget Mir submitted Nog.... People will say it is out of prime Nog but the reality is BJJ skills do not decline with age. Nog did not lose that fight due to his weaker chin.
Peak Nog could do nothing with Ricco.
Brock mauls him
