SameLOL...my kids watch Blippi so it is extra funny.
I remember the same thing happened to Jim Miller. Miller agreed to a fight on short notice, made weight, then his opponent wasn't medically cleared to compete after weigh-ins and the fight was canceled. Miller didn't get his show money.
he robbed us of a fight so thats fair
Because it is punishment. Fight camps aren't free and fighters have to pay out of pocket to fund them. He basically paid for a fight camp and got nothing out of it which is fucked up considering he held up his end of the bargain while his opponent did not. Why should Pereira be rewarded for missing weight? Cause that's what it would have been if WB agreed to fight him anyway. Why should Pereira still get to get paid when he didn't hold up his end? Fuck that. Especially when WB wasn't going to get paid extra to do it. The amount of people gas lightning WB in this thread is disgusting.he's not being punished.
he cancelled the fight. So why should he get paid show money?... that's not punishment. That's the equivalent of not showing.
It's up to him if he's not willing to accept fighting the guy missing weight. Nothing says the guy had to or the fight is cancelled. The fight still could have gone ahead. Upto him. He woulda been well aware of the fact of him refusing to fight = this. So I dunno why people are acting like he's hard done by.
I get a insecure, hothead wannabe gansta guy vibes from you. Jesus you must be annoying to be around

He's definitely not fake. If you've follow his youtube channel over the years you'll see his whole family is a big happy Jesus loving camp. Believe it or not, some people are actually like that.Lmfao, says the guy that his reply is an immediate attack on someone he doesn't know.
It is quite the opposite Sherbro. I just don't like Wonderboy vibes, he comes across as being fake af and a picky diva in life as he is with his opponents.
I guess Wonderboy doesn't need the money. He is a model, has a successful youtube channel and a shitload of good partnerships plus a Karate school which is great for him, don't get me wrong.
If he needed the money, he wouldn't have canceled and wave the flag of righteousness which is annoying af if you ask me. Fighters will take fights when opponents miss weight because they need the money, most of the cases this is the reason why.
Wonderboy is well in life and then waves that flag. "I hope others do the same bla bla bla.." Come on Wonderboy, if you needed to put food on the table, you would've fought. You would fight wrestlers and anyone UFC puts in front of you. Easy to speak when life is cozy.

Some of the other criticism about not wanting to fight wrestlers is warranted. But this "WB seems like a fake nice guy" that I see sometimes seems more like projecting by cynical people who just don't get those happy Mormon type of people. But WB is as nice and genuine as they come. If you find one piece of footage or tweet of him acting like a douche I'll eat my words.
I have met a lot of Christians who were not as pure as they pretended, but I've also met some (Christians and non-Christians) who were kind and good natured as fuck and absolutely not putting on an act. Maybe I've just been lucky to know some great people. All good. Am I allowed not to like the guy though?
Might be a cultural thing, the whole Christian family thing doesn't mean much to me. I get the values behind it and why Americans identify with it. From my experience and what I see in the world, those that live like that aren't exactly transparent as they seem. No one can be that pure/good. We are humans above all and our nature is what it is. I prefer much more someone that actually shows faults, being human is not just practicing the good.
My point about the wrestlers is that he is in a position in life where he can turn down fights which obviously is a testament to his career even before the UFC. He did well for himself but he should also come from a place of understanding that not all fighters have his life.

All good man. I don't think he or anyone is perfect (nor would he ever claim to be) but he's probably the nicest and most respectful guy to ever fight in a cage. If it's an act he's been damn consistent about it his entire career. I just think it should be commended instead of criticized but you don't have to like anyone![]()
Sure thing bro!I get you! He is definitly different from the rest of most fighters as being polite and respectful, he comes across as very civilized.
Cheers Sherbro! Nice talk.
From my understanding if a fighter makes weight then he gets his show money. However, the UFC picks and chooses who they pay. They're projected to make a record 400 million in profit this year alone. To put it lightly, they're scummy bitches. To be fair he probably knew if he didnt take the fight he wasnt going to get paid. At least if I were the fighter that would be my first question. Not saying its right just what it is.
Or, worse even, HIS bosses! They barely know what a fighter is!Depends on how daddy Dana is feeling that day
To be fair, it would be *utterly shocking* if a profiteering public company like Endeavour were to put anything at all, but especially fighter welfare, above their bottom line, would it not? This just goes to show you that as a fighter, your interests take a back seat to the company’s. Shameful.
