Could be some wingnut targeted them because of what happened in MN and they retaliated, could be something related the northern border maybe? Could be some other shit. This case reminds me of the Ahmed Abrery case a bit. I would love to know how some of these posters felt on that issue. I bet all of them supporting the agent were posting that the father in son were in the right and had the right to do what they did.

But many cities have their police departments not even respond to 911 calls from ICE - Portland, Chicago, Washington and several others.

You're misunderstanding or have been fed bad info. The orders are to not help ICE detain people or meet their quotas.

You're just plain wrong. There have been numerous documented instances on social media showing they don't help at all including anything to do with civilians. This has been happening for months.
