Good fight, Denise has a strong kickboxing background and also a solid judo base. Her losses have mostly come from derping her way into getting submitted, which isn't going to be an issue vs Dakota (...?). At the very least, it should be a striking banger like The People™ want in their human cockfights.

Is it? Dakota's last fight was against Sumiko Inaba, who Denise comfortably beat.

'I'm picking Kielholtz'

(maybe. or then again, maybe not.)
I'm with you i think this is a fun match up for Dakota. Denise striking is legit i don't know if I can actually pick her winning but I see her causing alot of problems unless Dakota goes d1 wrestler suddenly.

That fight was two years ago, and Denise hasn’t fought since. She’s coming in with an 8-5record, and if we’re honest, she’s never belonged at flyweight. Also 36 yrs old. I like Denise, but this is just PFL throwing together whatever they can, rather than actually trying to put together meaningful fights. Where’s Carmouche?

LOL YOU '36 years old! But I want to see 41 year old Carmouche instead!'

Sure, Carmouche is older. Difference is, Carmouche has a better record since turning 40 (5-1), than Kielholtz has since turning 30 (6-3). Keep in mind, All of Carmouche's fights come in the last two years. Tell me, what has Kielholtz done the last two years?

Then you dig further into their records, and they share three common opponents. Kielholtz lost to all three of them, getting finished by two of them. Carmouche beat all three, by finish. Carmouche only gives up 2" of height to Ditcheva. Kielholtz is giving up 5" of height to her.

Finally, Carmouche is the 2024 PFL tournament champ, finishing it in August, so February is plenty of time between fights.

I don't even like Carmouche, but I genuinely believe it'd be the better fight.

UFC finally announced some fights:

I'm not as excited by this fight as many are. Nunes has been on the sidelines a significant amount of time, living the retired life. Also, Nunes coming back allows Julianna Pena to run her mouth enough to stay in the title picture somehow.

Grasso needs to remember how to fight on the inside for this one. She's been staying on the outside lately, which plays right into Rose's strengths on the feet.

Regina Tarin picked up another finish last night in Costa Rica. Hopefully she doesn't get screwed out of a Contenders Series spot this year, or bettter yet, UFC just signs her

Poor girl left her chin wide open to the counter

tarin trains outta UFC PI mexico so she's probably got eyes on her already. i wanted to say that she should fight alice pereira but apparently tarin is a flw?

Alina Dalaslan (4-0) vs Karolina Sobek (5-3)

Oktagon continues to build Dalaslan up. I missed her last fight against Katharina Lehner, but I understand it was close. Sobek will look to get this to the ground (four wins by sub), a new realm for Dalaslan, compared to her previous opponents.
