I know it's all purely business...but the fact that Taylor/Serrano II is second to the main even is just an insult.

apparently eduarda moura's pre-cut weight going into fight week was 138.8 pounds, how on earth did she ever make strawweight? i am now somewhat sceptical that she can make flyweight...

my picks are karine silva and moura (if she makes weight - that's a ridic size difference)

Invicta FC 59 Touches Down in Atlanta on December 13 with Bernardo-Maia Title Clash

Invicta FC 59: Bernardo vs. Maia will air via CBS Sports Network at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. Preliminary card action will stream live on Invicta’s official YouTube Channel and Facebook Page at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tickets to the event will be available on sale beginning Friday, Nov. 15 at noon ET through AXS.

The fight card can be found below:

Bantamweight Title: Talita Bernardo vs. Jennifer Maia
Featherweight: Riley Martinez vs. Jackie Cataline
Flyweight: Alejandra Lara vs. Paula Bittencourt
Strawweight: Valesca Machado vs. Yasmin Castanho
Atomweight: Monique Adriane vs. Ana Palacios
Atomweight: Giulliany Perêa vs. Natalie Salcedo
Strawweight: Ashley Barrett vs. Fernanda Orellana

Assuming this is the bout order for the night, I personally would have put Lara as the co-main event, as both she and Bittencourt have value as Bellator veterans, and outside the main event, Lara has the most name value on the card. Other than that, I gotta say, as probably the most degenerate WMMA fan here, I like this card. Other than maybe two names, I instantly recognized all the fighters.

Id be too if i were her
Yeah, One was obviously chomping on the bit to see her lose, and likely pissed them off that she managed to go undefeated until the Stamp title fight. Wonder if they had a plan to not promote Ham had she won... never felt like they wanted Ham to succeed there.

Oh well, her fights have been fun so far. That's the thing about One, they might be sacks of shit a lot of the time, but the entertainment value is great :(

Most fight promoters are sacks of shit.

Yeah, absolutely. And I actually think One HQ is often a bit less worst than Ari Gold's crew, mostly cause they spend money on stuff like production values and video quality Dana thinks is way below him to care about.

But mistreating Ham really grinds my gears. I mean, I still hold it against the whole country and population of Australia that they judged the Rawlins and Taylor fights wrong.

Silva / Araujo: ARAUJO It seems they're recycling Araujo by feeding her to newer edition Brazilians. I find myself rooting for her here anyway, but she's pretty old now. I'm going to pick her anyway, partly because I'm not convinved by Silva yet, partly because Araujo beat Maia which is a good win, mostly just to be contrarian

Moura / Hardy: HARDY, Moura looked awful in her last fight and is a serial womanlet abuser (two of her last 3 were atomweight sized) now being forced to face someone closer to her own size after never making weight in a class she clearly didn't belong in. She also has a bad case of what I call 'Brazilian acai cardio'. She does have a pretty good level change so there is some threat there but Macedo has been looking better and better since transitioning into 'Hardy', the moral of the story here is clearly if you're a WMMA fighter not quite living up to your potential you need to hook up with an English dude. Just sayin', Alexa...

Going to go with Silva, possibly by sub. Vivi is good on top, & is probably the sharper, more powerful, faster striker. Karine needs to have worked on her wrestling, but if she did I think she will be able to submit Vivi. Her striking is much better than a lot of other BJJ women, so I think she’ll able to avoid disaster in that realm. I do wish she wasn’t so wooden & single strike oriented.

Hardy/Moura I am feeling a bit unsure of. Leaning Hardy, but Moura’s relentless wrestling attack is something that concerns me, she feels like the kind of fighter I would’ve picked Hardy to struggle with just a year or two ago. However, Moura seemingly has no gas, & leaning into her nickname.. that striking is seemingly molded on Ronda.. no jab, chin right in the air, no kicks, awkward arm punches, & she doesn’t have the same power Ronda did. Hardy’s later career has shown an improved ability to game plan & Moura is a simple opponent to train for. I am really hoping her & Dan put it together for this one cause Moura rubs me the wrong way.

Boo, Moura. She was dull and gigantic. And winning R1 due to a meaningless classical late takedown makes me frown even more. But at least Hardy tried to make rounds 1 and 3 entertaining.

Now off to sleep. Might try to wake up for main events, but probably cannot be arsed.

Just saw this & hadn’t seen it posted here. Christina Breuer could be a real prospect at Bantamweight. Only 26 & she’s got a very impressive kickboxing resume. I assume if she’s fighting at 135 against Zimmo, she must be done with PFL Europe for right now.

Slept thru the whole rest of the card. Was the other ladyfight worth watching in retrospect (have not checked results of anything but the foregone conclusion of Jones beating Old Man Stipe) so I would go in blind?

Watched it - was fun. Some ok striking, some just bleeds, was an actual fight, some fun grappling. And essentially 0 wrestling :)
It was a fun fight for the first two rounds, the third run was *funny* though. I didn't think Karine would give up like that, and the commentary team dragged her for it.

I'm glad Vivi got her win, but Karine pretty much gave gifted that last round to her. She's been in the UFC for around 4-5 years now, and she never fixed her gas tank issues, so I wish she'd realize her title aspirations are over by now. Not sure where she goes from here, as she's fought pretty much everyone already. Perhaps Rose? Chookagian rematch?
