Been following her for years, really happy for her. These words out of many other fighters would come off as arrogant, but Shiming is just an honest, earnest person who works hard, and is a super analytical nerd who studies her opponents carefully, and takes meticulous notes of her trainings daily.

There are quite a few extra-stiff (or limp?) contenders for KO of the year just within the bounds of WMMA in 2024, a bumper crop of bumps if you will, that I can remember off the top of my head:

Kendra McIntyre vs Katarina Legorreta: Headkick sent her flying across the cage limp like a videogame ragdoll effect


Shanelle Dyer vs Mariam Torchinava: the opposite effect, Headkick landed her on her side so stiff as a statue her head didn't even bounce off the mat


Wang 'King' Cong vs Victoria Leonardo: an expected result, and not as br00tal as a headkick, but who doesn't love the sexily smoov technical application of the pistonnes-aux-chinne to the visage of a foe? it surely brings out the romantic in many a fight fan


and now of course Shi Ming vs XiaoCan Feng: did she dieded?
