The diet.
People saying genetics, lol.
Seriously, pretty much anyone can get ripped; even you sherdoggers. It's all about exercise and diet. Genetics don't factor into things until you are at the top echelons of bodybuilding or if you're Usain Bolt or something - then you've got an advantage.
One only needs to reverse this question to demonstrate how stupid it is.
With Overeem's insane muscles why isn't his cardio great?
Genes.. Fact- Mexican genes tend to hold quite a bit of fat ( and im not being racist, science shows).. Hence why you've never really heard of a mexican bodybuilder in the Olympia, ect.
/end of thread
That is all there is to it
Strange how you never seem to see any "fat gene" people in places where fatty food is scarce, like Africa. Its almost like eating too much is the primary cause of obesity.

Go lift and eat correctly with the intention of getting "ripped" and that's going happen no matter who you are(obviously people's sizes vary, as does their diet and routine). Cain's a fighter, not a bodybuilder and as we all know being the most shredded and muscular guy most of the time isn't going to help you in fighting.
Whatever Cain's doing clearly works best for him in fighting. I doubt he gives two shits about not being the most ripped dude in MMA.
You could not be more wrong. Anyone can get in great shape, just like Cain is. You are right about that. But having the body type where you are completely ripped is not something everyone can have. Have you ever heard of Ectomorph, Endomorph or Mesomorph? I personally work out 6 times a week (hard workouts), eat healthy, and I am in great shape. Far superior shape than anyone else I know, but still I am not able to get ripped. I look in shape, but not in shape like someone like Cheick Kongo or Gsp.
Nah, genes brah. Genes, brah.

Let's put these findings down on paper. See you at Wings Hut. I eat at Wings Hut every day because it doesn't matter what I eat because my genes make me fat anyway. See, look at this spare tire, see? There it is, proof that I have chubby genes.

Fatty food is the triggers - an environmental factor.
When there is an absent of fatty food (Africa), the people won't get fat, because of the lack of the environmental factor, not because of the lack of the obese gene.
It's like when people have a family predisposition for having cancer. When one of these people are exposed to toxins and other cancer causing agents, they will more likely get cancer than people who don't have a family history of having cancer.
But if you keep them away from harmful environmental factors, you reduce their risks, sort of like if you starve people with the obese genes, you reduce their chance of getting obese, but the genes are there.
And no, I'm not fat. I'm 172lbs, around 10% BF or less.
