With his insane cardio, why isnt Cain ripped?

mn2elh.gif

Def a Top Ten gif of all time imo

Lmao, loved that fight

People saying genetics, lol.

Seriously, pretty much anyone can get ripped; even you sherdoggers. It's all about exercise and diet. Genetics don't factor into things until you are at the top echelons of bodybuilding or if you're Usain Bolt or something - then you've got an advantage.

You're totally wrong, buddy. Genetics is a huge factor.

I have a friend who is lazy and used to workout like 15 minutes a day, no more than twice a week. He ate, slept and watched tv most of the time, and he was shredded when he was around 16 years old.

I have another friend who was very physically active, played basketball almost every, 1-2 hours a day, weight lifted at least 3 times a week, and guess what? He was fat at around the same age.

Cardio=/=fat %age my brother who is like a foot shorter than me is a fat shit and can run miles around me in a cardio contest it's kinda a genes thing at that point.

Genes.. Fact- Mexican genes tend to hold quite a bit of fat ( and im not being racist, science shows).. Hence why you've never really heard of a mexican bodybuilder in the Olympia, ect.

I look forward to your citations...

Ever see many ripped Mexican boxers?

All the legends had less than stellar physiques.

Genetics.

I've seen homeless men, more ripped than I'll ever be.

Strange how you never seem to see any "fat gene" people in places where fatty food is scarce, like Africa. Its almost like eating too much is the primary cause of obesity.

Being "ripped" will make me assume you could have poor cardio, especially as a HW. All that muscle is not good.

Nah, genes brah. Genes, brah.

Let's put these findings down on paper. See you at Wings Hut. I eat at Wings Hut every day because it doesn't matter what I eat because my genes make me fat anyway. See, look at this spare tire, see? There it is, proof that I have chubby genes.

Go lift and eat correctly with the intention of getting "ripped" and that's going happen no matter who you are(obviously people's sizes vary, as does their diet and routine). Cain's a fighter, not a bodybuilder and as we all know being the most shredded and muscular guy most of the time isn't going to help you in fighting.

Whatever Cain's doing clearly works best for him in fighting. I doubt he gives two shits about not being the most ripped dude in MMA.

You could not be more wrong. Anyone can get in great shape, just like Cain is. You are right about that. But having the body type where you are completely ripped is not something everyone can have. Have you ever heard of Ectomorph, Endomorph or Mesomorph? I personally work out 6 times a week (hard workouts), eat healthy, and I am in great shape. Far superior shape than anyone else I know, but still I am not able to get ripped. I look in shape, but not in shape like someone like Cheick Kongo or Gsp.

That is a straw man argument. You are grossly exaggerating the stance the people have taken when they say it is genetics. Everyone can get in shape and be healthy. Do you think Cain is fat? I sure as hell don't. We are talking about the difference between being in shape like cain is, and being shredded like Cheick Kongo is.

The good thing about arguing is that if you are intelligent and have strong arguments to back up your position, then you do not need any insults to help you out. The insults actually kind of makes your arguments seem weaker as you do not let them stand on their own.

Fatty food is the triggers - an environmental factor.

When there is an absent of fatty food (Africa), the people won't get fat, because of the lack of the environmental factor, not because of the lack of the obese gene.

It's like when people have a family predisposition for having cancer. When one of these people are exposed to toxins and other cancer causing agents, they will more likely get cancer than people who don't have a family history of having cancer.

But if you keep them away from harmful environmental factors, you reduce their risks, sort of like if you starve people with the obese genes, you reduce their chance of getting obese, but the genes are there.

And no, I'm not fat. I'm 172lbs, around 10% BF or less.

lol at people saying "genes". You couldn't be any more wrong unless you have thyroid problems.

That huge fedor fan claiming that his mate can eat anything he wants and not get fat bla bla bla...yeah we all know people like that, me and my brothers always would get told that from others. You guys like to throw the word "genes" out there like we magically cannot get fat and we're mesomorphs or ectomorphs. There's no such thing like that.

The only thing you can possibly be referring to (and I'm sure you are all going to switch your point to this) is that some people have FASTER METABOLISMS. All that means is we can eat more. What does that mean for those who don't have fast metabolisms? You gotta eat less and/or do more exercise.

Now thank me.

LMFAO! There is no such thing! Now, you cannot be any more wrong. My god, so many people have so little knowledge about the body.

I understand this, the point was despite having "bad" genes or not, if you don't eat an excess of calories, you don't get (or stay) fat. Its simply not possible.
