Subsidy harvesting is a political science, and Musk is the king of it.

He can afford to drop a few paltry $40 millions because he knows it's coming in somewhere else.

He's also positioned himself to get "X" (lol) amount of high level government contracts with very little competition.

We're talking billions.

And the money isn't staying in these individual projects, we've already seen he'll move billions of dollars worth of stock from one shell company to another and he's not doing that for no reason.

He'll be way up on his Twitter investment, let alone whatever destabilisation he can achieve on the political scene.

I don’t doubt that he will reap more than he sows but I don’t see what he would get out of this election. Who gives a fuck about WI anyway? Not sure why they (either side) care so much that they wasted tens of millions each

Don't cry when Republicans last minute changes to voter ID laws get shot down again for being deliberately racist. They actually used demographic voter data to target DMVs for closure during election years.


I'm in favor of FREE vote ID and Election day holiday.


Republicans are not in favor of either, the intention is not to make elections more secure but to make voting less convenient. Millions of Americans already do not have photo ID.

What's next? Expired photo IDs can't be used? There is nothing honest about their intentions, it's only about depressing the vote even if only slightly. Have you paid attention to recent elections? They're decided by very few votes in only a couple states.

This whole women having to prove their name when 80% of them changed their name due to marriage is unsettling, another P25 thing about our rights, but I think more Dems have passports than GOP so it could backfire.

Doesn't affect me, it was too complicated for me to change my name with visas etc after getting married but how many women will have to either change their name back to their maiden name to vote or just not be bothered ...which is understandable.

Both sides lie constantly. You can’t believe a word out of either side’s mouth. The left was allowing illegals to come in with plans to convert them to future votes and maybe the right does want to suppress votes, but that is easy to combat by having people actually get their id cards. It’s not that fucking difficult
