Wing Chun vs BJJ? Should I be worried?

That guy says okay a lot. I notice this with my Chinese caseworker also.

as a chinese (american) person, i don't say okay a lot... it's mostly just ums and uhs.

it sounds that the TS is not confident on his skills or what he learned from his BJJ training..
sorry to tell you if thats your mentality it will not make you strong...

I got to take a shot in the throat and balls to be strong?

What ? You're willing to respond to a no-rules challenge with shots to the eyes and balls and all ?

Most probably enjoy destroying someone training something crappy.
But possibly: enjoy being blinded by some snake fist crap if the guy can possibly pull it off. Or enjoy the monkey collecting your peaches.

Back in the day the Gracies had an open challenge to any and all forms of martial arts

EXCEPT WING CHUN!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Ha, not true! I mentioned early on in this thread that the idea for the early "Super Fights" came about because of a challenge to the Gracie's from none other than Emin Boztepe, head of the American WingTsun Organization.

After alot of back and forth it was offered that Royce fight in a one off fight, a "super fight" vs. Mr. Boztepe. When the fight couldn't be negotiated they replaced Mr. Boztepe with Ken Shamrock and the history of the UFC "super fights" is well...... History!

Here is a thread with all the hilarious letters and back and forth banter of the early 90's martial arts world between Rorion and the Gracies and Boztepe and the AWTO.

there are some ironic parallels that can be drawn between this and the recent royler/bravo kerfuffle.

Whens the fight taking place tommie and how did he come to challenge you?

Well if anyone is interested this is how it went when i fought a WC guy when i was a blue belt with almost no standup and wrestling experience... wc guy had same time training as i did, about 18 months.

I fought a wc brown belt/sash about a year later, the fight went exactly the same way.
