Will the UFC ever get rid of betting odds and twitter comments?

Sports gambling is only getting bigger, get used to it. I like when they give the live odds personally, don't care about the general twitter comments though.

This. Is TS living under a rock ?? Even the big boys like NFL talk about betting lines. There are entire shows dedicated to them. Sports leagues love it bc it will keep people tuned in to a Browns VS Bengals Thursday night game bc they have some money riding on the over.

It’s a normal part of sports now.

I find the twitter comments infuriating sometimes. At least keep to it to fighters/ex-fighters only. Just sickening.

The betting odds... I don't get what's up with that. Why do we need to know the odds and be reminded of them constantly?

Maybe it's for the new gen of simpletons or something.

If you don’t understand why they post the betting odds then you’re the simpleton.

They absolutely should not show these DURING the fight.
Otherwise i dont care.

I actually like the Twitter comments from non fighters, I like seeing other people getting into it. Only hipster cunts would be made about "casuals" infiltrating their sport.

I can see how people with issues concentrating might be bothered by Twitter comment but how is having the odds an issue?

BTW is someone forcing you to read the twitter comments when they pop up? Do they cover up the action? The answer to both is NO.
Think we found all the UFC shills who like this, plus this shill.

The tweets are retarded, get rid of them.

Nothing wrong with the betting odds. Hey TS next time you think there's a garbage card incoming, put a little bit of your hard earned cheddar down on someone, it's a rush baby.

*Please gamble responsibly*

I like the betting odds, its basically an honest fight prediction. What is it hurting?

The tweets are annoying and a waste of screen.

Most of the time when I see Dana in the background during a fight, he’s looking down at his phone like an annoying teenager at the breakfast table. He probably thinks everyone is similarly crippled and appreciates having it all on one screen. We’re not and we don’t.

There are literally tons of US states that haven't legalized gambling. Thats how. Do you even USA?
Unfortunately no :(

I lived there for a half a year about 12 years ago, lived in Cali, worked in Nevada(SL Tahoe) in a ......wait for it...... casino as a dealer, mostly blackjack, although I dealt in almost every game expect for roulette. You need more experience for that one.

My US exprience was a gambling one :D

Twitter means nothing to me but a mass amount of people that watch sports do it solely for betting purposes.

remove gambling and viewership sinks beyond belief

Both are annoying but I kinda get the betting odd since UFC as a company has roots in gambling and does business with sports books... and Jon Anik low-key has a gambling problem lol The Twitter shit is annoying as shit though. I don't give a fuck if Dwayne Johnson is grateful for the UFC for putting on fights or some shit in the middle of a fight or what Brett Okamoto thinks a score of a fight is. At least keep the posts to fighters only.

The UFC really started to focus viewer attention on the betting odds recently. Coincidentally they also started to promote DraftKings as a major sponsor. This odds trend is meant to attract similar sponsors in the future.

All those twitterturds are only on there because of Disney is the parent company to the UFC, trying to promote their other bullshit onto MMA viewers. The UFC is greedy enough to keep allowing it. Imagine if the NFL had random tweets popping up with some advertising on it all throughout the games. What a shit show that would be, but for the UFC this is normal. Or before the coin toss the refs are yelling out on the mic about how this coin flip is sponsored by corn nuts.

Hell the UFC already has their octagon filled with as much billboard bullshit as they can and still constantly add as much ads as possible. Hell you got 5 min rounds, with long breaks between every fight, and then 1 min between every round that they usually stuff 2-4 commercials in, and then all the commercials between fights. Then if you streaming the fight on ESPN + or whatever, I'm sure there are a tons of ads on the site added on top of all the ads from the PPVs. It is quite clear that these businesses aren't here to sell anything to the fans, but to the corporations who want to buy ad space for said viewers.
