Will the UFC ever get rid of betting odds and twitter comments?

Gets bigger thru more states legalizing and online sites expanding. 5dimes just became legal in usa
I keep forgetting that it's illegal in the USA. Yeah, it has room for growth there no doubt :)

Coke should probably stop pouring $4 Billion a year into advertising as well, since everybody already knows whether they like it or not. Not gonna get any new drinkers of Coke.
That's not a fair comparison. Sports betting is a whole vertical while Coke is a single product in the soda drinks category. It has direct competitors. That's like asking why Williamhill is advertising. They advertise cause they have direct competitors in Betway etc etc.

Maybe a sports betting vs eSports betting would be a better comparison.

But as I told the other Sherbro, I keep forgetting that it's illegal in the US.

Betting odds do vary on what site you use too, so its unnecessary. Not everyone just uses one or the other.

I find the twitter comments infuriating sometimes. At least keep to it to fighters/ex-fighters only. Just sickening.

The betting odds... I don't get what's up with that. Why do we need to know the odds and be reminded of them constantly?

Maybe it's for the new gen of simpletons or something.

<EdgyBrah>

cause there this thing called gambling that people do alot of.

The Twitter bullshit is obviously useless, but as a degenerate gambler I don't mind the betting odds.

Worry not!

If you ever give up Gambling, you will still be a Degenerate!!
;)

I'm just thrilled others don't like it as well. The Twitter comments are dumb but the bedding comments are like a poison. They announce it as if it's the most important part of the fight when in reality it bares no relevance to the fight.

I've always guessed it must be in connection with some Under-the-table sponsors.

Did they show them during the rounds on this last card? I don't remember. I say if they must keep them then place them between rounds. But who cares about the odds. Not everyone who watches is betting on it and if the odds change after a guy is getting demolished then:

T.s is either very young and naive or mma is the only sport he follows cause his take on the betting odds is so ridiculous, he doesnt understand what he ( or possibly she ? ) is saying.

How can sports gambling get any bigger than it is right now?

I see how eSports can, not everyone gambles on eSports.... or politics.... or other niche stuff.

But sports?

I mean if you add like another billion people on earth then yeah, those new ones will probably make it bigger.
it's becoming legal in more places

I'm more annoyed by the "undefeated" bullshit they market the fighters with all the time especially the newcomers, "Ahkme Mortinelo is undefeated 5-0 can he retain that 0 after tonight?" who gives a shit dude? talk to me about undefeated fighters fighting top 10 guys, not some bum from some local promotion that has never been really tested before.

I assume they have some data that shows correlation between reconrds and PPV buys- tv viewership but is still annoying as fuck.

exactly most people don't want to gamble very much with an illegal site or a bookie. They might just not pay, a casino will pay.

Thank you.
Even if everyone in the world was a sports fan, there is a difference between making $100/year per sports fan or $1000/year per sports fan. Then you have millions (probably a couple billion worldwide) who aren't sports fans at all. It can ALWAYS be bigger.
Coke knows this, as does anyone who has ever done marketing or run a business.

they literally have over-the-table gambling partners Bet 365 and Draft Kings

Also, the UFC is owned by a talent agency, so they will continue to have washed up famous people reminding you that they are still alive on Twitter

I like the betting odds but agree the Twitter comments have to go

I'm done with PPVs until the twitteriots are removed. WTF, are people that fragile that they need to have followers read that they are in line at Starfucks? Even worse, those who care to read that drivel.

Twitter comments during the fight really takes away from the experience. Wonder who approved that idea and why they continue to show them.
