They are were getting benefits that were cut as the states could not afford it once the fed funds were reduced.

The democrats want to add 1.5 trillion permanently to the budget on a bill to temporarily extend financing the government.

The democrats can pass a clean bill or nothing.

Then they can try to get other things if they want and we can take it on a case by case basis.

The thing is that they've already gotten is of hundreds of thousands of federal workers through RiFs and forcing retirements combine with the federal hiring freeze.
