Dems want any budget to include an extension of the ACA tax credits due to expire in a couple of months, something that will cause millions of Americans’ health care prices to rise.

Trump in response not only wants to fuck Americans on healthcare, but threaten the jobs of many more middle class federal workers as a cruel bargaining chip. Why aren’t we tired of this shit yet? Trump had 2 government shutdowns his first term and he’s about to have another. I don’t want to hear the Right saying a damn thing about 1.5 trillion when they just supported Trump passing the BBB which will add 5.5 trillion in debt.

Why so many Americans are fine with the GOP shitting all over them, and Dems somehow end up getting a black eye for trying to fight for people’s healthcare is beyond me.

Democratic proposal to avert a government shutdown fails in the Senate​

Democrats failed to gather the needed votes for their stopgap funding proposal to avert a government shutdown at midnight. Senators voted along party lines.

The Senate will now vote on Republicans’ House-passed proposal that would fund the government for seven weeks.

N13: Not 100% sure, but even if the Democrat bill passed in the senate, it would have to go back to the house for reconciliation. That means a shutdown in that manner too.
