Democrats threatening to shutdown the government unless they can bring back funding to give healthcare to illegals, which they originally said was misinformation… among other things.

But seems they have backed themselves into a corner. Trump and his team are saying to bring it, and if you shut it down, we will just fire the jobs that are subject to the shutdown.

If it is shutdown, there are 100k federal workers or contractors that state they will retire.

Interesting how it will turn out politically. Seems trump and Russ Vought are fine either way, so will be interesting to see if Schumer and the democrats cave last minute. Fetterman is currently the only democrat that says he will vote for the CR

Gaslight? I wanted them to force a shutdown under Biden. They were weak, but at least got rid of loser McCarthy over it.

They will be weak if they concede anything to democrats now, so I welcome this shutdown too, and all the mass firings that will happen.

100k federal workers and contractors. Even if they were all getting only 100k salary, I assume the average is actually higher, but firing that many people cuts 10 billion just in salaries. Let alone benefits l, expenses, etc.
