Will GSP follow Condits handbook and frustrate Nicks standup with STICK KICK AND MOVE

gsp is quite a bit better in top position than cyborg though?

Definitely. Just making the point that GSP will be in danger in Diaz's guard. He's got armbars, sweeps, gogoplatas, etc. very sharp jiujitsu.

Depending on which Nick shows up and his game plan. It could be a great fight. Nicks a great puncher and GSP's chin is definitely suspect (MATT SERRA). GSP's game plan to win, will be take him down, lay on top of him and beat him up for the win!

GSP:s chin is suspect?
Nick has a game plan?
Different Nicks can show up?

Definitely. Just making the point that GSP will be in danger in Diaz's guard. He's got armbars, sweeps, gogoplatas, etc. very sharp jiujitsu.

Definitely. It seems that GSP is really good at handling that though.

no.. he is most likely gonna follow ben hendersons gameplan that he used against nate.. there fighting style (the diaz brothers) are quite similar. so he basically has the idea of how to beat nick.. and we know nick wont stop the takedown

Nick is a veteran, has good takedown def and could definately catch GSP with a solid cross in the process. GSP imo won't be so aggressive but maybe I am wrong... remember he did get knocked on his ass the last fight and almost lost to Condit by getting sloppy.

Nick has good takedown defense? Which wrestler with good takedowns has Nick demonstrated this good takedown defense with?

Also... GSP was hurt in his last fight by a strike Nick does not have the talent to deliver.

Is Sherk considered to have good TD's? He was one of the strongest wrestlers when he fought Nick.

In before the discrediting of Cyborg's blackbelt and the excuse of him gassing.

If you didn't know that Cyborg was a black belt, would you think he was a black belt? Belt colors mean nothing. Was he not pretty gassed? GSP would have defended that armbar, his ground defense is much better than Cyborg's. I'm not saying that Nick can't submit GSP, but using the Cyborg fight to say that he will is reaching.

GSP has soo many ways to beat him, he can take him down everytime he wants he can outstrike him on his feet for 5 rnds, etc..

GSP 50-45, maybe he will even have a 10-8 round.

Condit is a counter puncher plain and simple. GSP had Condit backing up the entire time on the feet himself. GSP will not be running all over the octagon, but he will be completely controlling the octagon. GSP also showed he was much faster in his delivery than Condit. I think GSP will easily be able to land what he wants, and use basic movements to reset and attack again at a different angle. You will not see Nick Diaz backing GSP up, while GSP looks to back pedal and counter punch the whole time. You will see GSP backing Nick Diaz up when he attacks. Nick will have a hard time keeping up with GSP's speed. He's a faster and better conditioned athlete, but he also thinks faster on a mental level than Nick. It's really a horrible match up for Nick on the feet.

Exactly, that Condit high kick was a follow up off two big punches Condit jumped in on, GSP defended the two punches fine, but when he dropped his hands Condit came up high immediately and caught him perfectly with the kick. Very few WW have the capabilities of executing the kick that Condit caught GSP with and how Condit caught him with it, Nick Diaz isn't one of them.

When is the last time Nick submitted someone from guard? He isn't subbing GSP who was in zero danger from Penn's guard. I think St Pierre is going to win pretty dominantly and I'm a Diaz fan. He is pretty much the prototype worst matchup possible for Nick.

I never said that Nick would submit GSP or anything like that. All I pointed out was that GSP isn't going to think he is safe in Nick's guard, whether he is in real danger or not.

Definitely. Just making the point that GSP will be in danger in Diaz's guard. He's got armbars, sweeps, gogoplatas, etc. very sharp jiujitsu.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Nick's guard matches up with GSP's top control.

I'm not saying that GSP doesn't have great sub defense. I'm not saying that Cyborg wasn't tired. And nobody here said that because he subbed Cyborg, he will sub GSP.

Some dude asked when was the last time Diaz subbed someone from guard, petey provided a gif and explained that Cyborg is a BB.

Now that his question was answered, most Diaz detractors would answer with, "well Cyborg was gassed" or "he got his BB from McD's" or something like that just to discredit.

I was merely trying to keep people from making excuses for the reason behind the answer to a simple question, just because they don't like to be proven wrong, and start page after page of pointless arguing.

Didn't Serra drop GSP with a hook? Nick can throw hooks!!

Do you see how stupid this argument sounds?

As if that specific combo or kick is the only way to hurt GSP.

Dumb.

Why is this even a fight. Gsp is going to make Diaz look like an amateur. I don't see Diaz beating gsp on anything. We are going to see a gsp highlight reel.
I won't even waste my time watching.
