Whyte Vs Ruiz Could Be in May

Oh I get it. Its not turning down a fight if you dont think you should have to fight them.
What’s the point of having a silver title and rankings if they give a title shot to someone ranked lower and then make you fight the guy who just lost his title shot.

This is highlights the worse part of boxing politics

Be seeing alot of rumors about this wack ass fight. Eddie is offering Ruiz a couple of million to come lay down for Whyte next summer and keep him busy until he can get his title shot. Why not offer those millions to someone who needs the money like Ortiz and who would bring the chance of upsetting Whyte instead of just handing it over the fat ass Ruiz.

Eddie saying he made Ruiz a Seven figure offer

This is a good fight. Id favor Ruiz to be honest. Probably KOs Whyte in the middle rounds

Are you saying the WBC Mayan belt is bullshit?

Hopefully this fight happens. It sounds like a good one to me. Not sure why this needed to turn into another argument about Wilder.

You're all over the place man

Imagine the same guy says he hates boxing politics when it prevents "his guy" getting a title shot

When it prevents another guy getting closer, to his shot, then it is to be applauded and it is called smart "boxing promoting"

Ortiz is a threat and whytte and his team knew it, shame, would have been a good fight. Ruiz vs Whyte would be quality aswel. I can see Dubois being another guy for the brits to get behind in a yr or 2, good prospect

Because it looks like hate from afar but they secretly crave the Dark Chocolate...

I think Ortiz beats Whyte as well.
Whytes good but, I think Ortiz and Ruiz are a step better.

That's a good brawl stylewise. But someone should tell Ruiz to prepare in a gym instead at McDonalds.

I am not all over the place this is pretty straight forward.
1) Whyte has been ranked no1 with the WBC for 800 days
2) He has held their "Silver" title since 2017
3) He has jumped through other numerous hoops put forward by the WBC to get his title shot.
So then when Whyte is expecting to be made mandatory given the above he is then asked to fight the guy that just lost his title shot. I think he and his team have a right to feel aggrieved and that complaining to the WBC about their decision doesn't automatically mean he is ducking.

Personally I think he should have just fought Ortiz anyway but he would have only made a fraction of what he made compared to the Chisora rematch, and Whyte seems pretty motivated by money.

This one could be one hell of a brawl.

Just look at the Canelo v BJS thread lol

If ruiz gets in shape I’d probably favour him in this fight. I like thIs match up.
Whyte beats Ortiz! He’s old and has a overblown reputation
Such a pathetic Wilder hater you have to lie about and disrespect Ortiz!
