Why the f... Is UFC playing so late?

Its in the UK for once. And they put it on in the middle of the night just to keep the spoiled people in the US happy?

I agree. It's fucking bullshit. These Westcoast of NA-catered start times are complete trash.

They discriminate us Euros. Yanks buy more ppvs so they get it on their time

Most Europeans don't have to pay 90 dollars per PPV card. On top of that, ESPN wants this timeslot for their streaming service.

Also, American PPV audience > Local UK fans in terms of revenue. It really is that simple.

I think it's a bit silly, but I understand... it’s a major event and Dana doesn’t want to inconvenience American fans, which could impact PPV buys.

It’s nice not to have to stay up until 7 in the morning, though I’m used to it since only a few cards a year are in my time zone, give or take an hour.

I’ll stay up until the main event is over, then try to get about 4 hours of sleep before I have to get up and pack for a trip.

I’m being picked up just before 1 p.m., so it’s going to be a long 20 hours before I can sleep normally again.

Hopefully, the fights will make it all worth it.

I have booze and snacks, so fuck it.

It is pretty retarded but money talks and we'd all be doing the same if it was us trying to make a load of cash.

even 10 o clock EST starts are too late for an old-timer like me.

I Went to UFC 204 which was in Manchester and the card started at the same time.

There were 9 finishes in a row and everyone in the crowd were off their nut so it was really easy to stay up as the atmosphere was electric.
Hopefully the crowd get an exciting card tonight.

Are PPV still free on Sky Sports in the UK? If so, that's a good part of the reason.

I live in Germany and hardly ever get a chance to watch the fights live. When they finally have it at a decent time, I’m in Colombia

Will be funny if the venue clears out by the time the main event starts. This isn't Fury vs Usyk 2 or Fury vs AJ, which would both be worth hanging around a venue that late.

Barely at this point tbh. Half of the cards they have booked right now are outside of the US. Most of the top talent isnt American these days either. Its basically an international league now, for better or worse.
We can only hope that our Lord and savior, Donald Trump wins and do something about it.
