Why the f... Is UFC playing so late?

I'm in the US and I think 10pm Eastern is too damn late, at least now that I'm in the old fart class with StonedLemur and some of the others.

I needs my beauty sleep. Shit already barely works, if at all.

The US pays for PPVs. UFC wants it at prime time.
UK ticket sales would sell out no matter what time it happens at.
This, the UFC knows it, want some change? Dont go, they could either dont comeback to the UK for a while, or set the times a bit better the next time, keep in mind what this does to the fighters lol, they dont care about NO ONE but the ones paying for a PPV.

Its in the UK for once. And they put it on in the middle of the night just to keep the spoiled people in the US happy?

As an American, I stand with you on this. They should start these UK cards earlier. Not all US fans want to stay up all night as they drag these cards out and you guys get fucked even worse in cases like this. It is all about making Vegas happy! Fuck them!!!!!!!

People seemingly ask this during every international PPV. They do it in order to cater to the north American audience paying to order the events. Although, if you ask me, even 10 EST is insane. Start the main card at 8 EST.

As a European it's annoying how late the shows always start but even as a person living in America it sounds like it starts way too fucking late most of the time. Shit finishes past midnight like what?

Why not just film it and send it at normal US time for those of you who live in US?
Cause the internet will run their mouth and as soon as someone's favorite fighter loses they're not buying shit.

Fam half di headliner a Yankee yute 🇺🇸 Euro-mandem get fi see di ting live while US mandem haffi support Belal from across di whole disc bruv 🌎 Least UFC top dawgs coulda do is set it at a decent hour innit ⏰

Because in North America it is PPV. In the UK it is on a TV channel that paid for the rights to show them. Are you going to pay $70 for it?

Canada and the US make up the vast majority of the ppv buyrate, so they get catered towards. Since fighters get a percentage of that, you don't really hear them complain about it.

It is pretty despicable but US money overrules all to the UFC brass/Uncle Dana

How many fighters completely modified there camp so that they are physically “peaking” in the middle of the night?

Imo, your finest training sessions of the day should be around the evenings, around the time you would be typically competing. Making it a schedule of your body being all in-tune and shit

You apparently don’t understand the major amount of ppv buyers live in N America, or what?

You expect people to pay $80 to watch a ppv at a ridiculous hour? It’s literally at the same time MOST ppv cards are. What’s the problem?

Cater to 20K people in the venue. Or to the 500K+ people in N America that are the target paying audience.

Come on, guys. Do you need it explained to you.. Like you’re 5 years old?

It's really not hard to figure out. The uk gets to watch these events through their cable provider at little to no extra cost. The US not only has to pay 90$ or whatever for the ppv, but is way more populated.
Why not just film it and send it at normal US time for those of you who live in US?
Because it gets spoiled even if you're not looking for spoilers, which again would affect buy rates in the US. Mma is main stream enough now results of ppvs get put all over the internet and on sports/social media outlets. And no asking people to just stay off the internet for that duration is unreasonable. End of the day ufc isn't taking a financial hit to appease the British fans with their time slot. If they want ppv quality numbered cards this is what they have to accept. I'm sure it's frustrating for some, but it's just business.
