Everyone talkin and acting like only 1 or the other is an option.

Make jones vs tom in feb, and jones vs alex in june. I mean it's not unheard of a for a fighter to fight twice in a year still is it? If he can't do this, just forget about him and make other fights. yall would rather wait years for fights to happen or actually see fights? (no more rematches please)

Jones is refusing to fight Tom and even said he would rather get stripped of the belt than fight Tom just so he can try to get a fight with Alex

Biggest fraud in UFC HW history even though he is the LHW GOAT

People would be fine with that. The problem is Jones was saying he’s not fighting Tom. As a HW champ request a retired grandpa that could barely move then a MW, is just embarrassing. He either fights Tom or gives up his belt and fights then BJ Penn for legacy for all i care. But this sh** show embarrassing the sport has to stop. Dana shouldve already stripped him for not fighting the interim champ, refusing to fight the only top contender at HW as a champ…

strip his belt and move on i say. fights are entertaining to me. Talking about fights and hyping them seems boring. I never checked statistics. but it feels like fighters used to fight more. like 2-4 times a year. now it feels like only 1 out of 100 do that while the rest do 1-2 tops. and sometimes less than 1 a year.

Alex Pereira has only been in the UFC for 3 years now and he has fought 10 TIMES since then. That includes 6 title fights and 2 title eliminators between 2 weight classes and all after age 34.

In the last 3 years, Tom Aspinall has beaten 5 of the top 10 HWs... all in under a round.

Jon Jones has fought 3 times in the last 5 years. He actually had had more criminal charges than he's had fights in the last 5 years. Also, his last 5 opponents since he was stripped of the LHW title for PEDs have a combined record of 3-9-1 since he fought them (Anthony Smith brings this to 6-15-1).

So... to answer your question, both of these fights would never happen again because 1) Jones is one of the least active fighters in the UFC, 2) He is only interested in the easiest possible fights and has no interest in challenging himself, and 3) Stastically speaking, Jones will have another legal setback which will prevent him from getting in the cage on a consistent basis.

It's not 2011 anymore. If you think Jones will actually do anything except pay fines and make excuses, you're getting worked by the UFC hype machine. A win over a 42 year old guy who was already retired for 3+ years should not sway you this much
