The study doesn't specify "asian" either. Other then the TS who most likely only means East asian people.

Well there's plenty of racism here, but yeah the political climate and degree of integration has largely shifted it from Asians (and before them, Greeks and Italians) to middle easterners. It's been a long time since I've seen a "National Action" poster ranting about how "Asian heroin kills Aussie kids" or heard hysterical talk-show hosts spouting off about Asian gangs stabbing people. We get the usual stuff about Muslims, with our own special "boat people" slant.
My point was more about why certain forms of racism, and racism against certain groups, generates more outrage though.
I mean, what is the history of anti-Asian racism in the US and how does it compare to slavery and segregation or colonisation and the trail of tears?

Also wtf is that grasseating crap. As a mexican growing up in the 90s imported japanese cartoons which were miles ahead with the american crappy cartoons (except thundercats and the turtles). I was shocked to see how Japan changed too much.

But then again mexican tv were cheap fucks and were importing cartoons from the 70s and 80s.
 
I think white guys tend to make fun of asian men a lot just because of the above posts point that asian men are seen as feminine and that conflicts with American culture. Asian's have many feminine features. It's why guys are so attracted to the women and less so with women to the guys.

Same can be seen as true with African Americans with masculine features.


Not sure if this post is racist but I don't know how to best articulate what I'm saying. Monopoly av guy said it better.

In high school, we had had foreign students from mostly Korea and some China/Taiwan. Our school was small and they made up about 1/3 of our high school. Everytime a new student came, there always was an adjustment to the culture. The guys always were more feminine than we are use to. Very touchy with other guys, passive, into fashion, etc. To them, it's completely normal but to us, it came off as what an American gay guy would do. The girls, however, fit in perfect for the same reason.
 
The thread is probably too stupid to respond seriously to, but a couple of thoughts.

1. It's not ok to be racist against any group.

2. Maybe people think Asians and other foreigners are bad drivers because they do not have a lot of experience driving in America? Same thing goes for young drivers, they are actually bad drivers. Same for old folks who lost their reflexes.

In other words, it's not some genetic trait(s) that make them bad drivers, it's lack of experience. I would probably be a terrible driver in China, for example.
 
Asians are typically nerds. Nerds typically get picked on. It's just nature. And nature is ok. Therefore it is ok to pick on asians.

Not middle easterners. East asians, South asians such as Indians/Pakistanis (very similar issues to east asians) and pacific islanders who are genetically considered asian/mongoloid.

Ask yourself though why Asians would be the most bullied, given that they don't have the most negative stereotypes. Blacks are far more negatively stereotyped, but Asians are much more commonly victimized by bullying.

Bullying is terrible, but I think the main reason Asians are bullied more is surely not because people have a more negative overall view of them relative to other racial groups, but because they are seen as weaker, smaller, and dorkier on average; they are easier bullying targets *on average.* The flip side, as I say, of being massively overrepresented at Harvard and massively underrepresented in the NFL. Part of this is irrational prejudice. Part of it, however, reflects the basic fact that, at a statistical level, Asians indeed have focused on academics over athletics, and do tend statistically to be smaller than other races. Smaller size and focus on academics over athletics has always been a huge risk factor for bullying for kids of ANY race, and it's disproportionately represented amongst Asian kids. There's no easy way to reverse that without reversing the underlying race-neutral prejudices that lead to bullying. For example, height prejudice has been repeatedly shown to be rampant in American society regardless of your race.

The point remains. That's a subsection that nearly makes up half the world's population and one of the largest minorities in the US. Obviously any stat involving them is going to be high.
 
I guess it's not just "hip" to defend.

My theory is that these racism allegations also usually include a portion of patronizing the victim race. It's hard to patronize and side with people who are arguably the most intelligent and nicest people on earth who also seem to have the highest morals. SJWs like to defend the weak. In short: people are jelly of asian people -> they mad.

How did it kill it? the study does not include middle easterners only East asians and south asians, pacific islanders are asian/mongoloid. South Asians have many of the same issues that East Asians do. I probably have more South Asian friends than anyone and many of our experiences growing up are similar. East Asians comprise the majority of the 54% since the majority of people from the asian continent are of east asian descent around 80%. Are you saying that the number would go down if only east asians were included? Doubtful.

Asians also have the highest suicide rates in the military, read the story of Danny Chen who was bullied because of his race and took his own life.

Asians certainly don't speak out about it.

I agree that it's the downside to the traits that make them such high achievers in other areas. The passivity, conformity and submission to authority works great in the classroom and workplace. The system is set up to reward people like that. You get excellent grades and make lots money because you follow orders very well and stay quiet.

But the negative is that you're disrespected, not taken seriously and blown off.

I don't think it HAS to be like this, however. Jews are similar in a lot of these regards but they've stood up for themselves a bit more.
