In the other thread about mob violence, one forum member makes a long post about how he judges a person as individuals and doesn't believe in any racial stereotypes with the exception that Asian people can't drive.
Btw, if you think that's not a harmful stereotype it's because you don't know where it comes from. The notion that Asians are these blundering, uncoordinated, unathletic people who can't judge space and distance. I drive just fine, so do my asian friends and family. Asians score highest on visual spatial tests than any other race, yet we are considered unable to even perform the most basic functions like driving a fucking car.
Even in threads that are about anti-racism you still see many people jokingly ripping on Asians, small dicks, weak physically, can't drive, nerds. Why is it OK? Every time a Asian fighter loses a fight in the UFC, you see in the threads people saying it's because they have less testosterone, built like women, etc.
Theres a million people here who bitch about blacks targeting whites because they are seen as weak targets, yet both whites and blacks seem to do this to asians with asians being the most bullied race in America. It seems to me many people are frustrated that they cant speak out against blacks because it's too un-PC so they take it out on Asians and ridicule them. Even though Asians have half the crime rate of whites and Asian on White crime is practically non-existent.
More than half of Asian American teens are bullied in school, 54% the highest out of any race. Also White on Asian crime is the least punished form of racial crime in the U.S.
Read about the Vincent Chin story, an asian man was savagely beaten and killed by 2 white men in Detroit, he was specifically targeted because he was Asian, the 2 white men were angry that Detroits auto industry was fading due to Japanese imports and there was less jobs. When the case went to court the judge cleared both men of all charges even though not because there was no evidence, the men confessed to the crimes and it was clear that they murdered this man. The reason for the aquittal: the judge said that the 2 men were justified in killing this man because they lost their jobs due to foreign competition and they were angry about it and wanted to take it out on an asian person.
The actor Mark Wahlberg randomly attacked an Asian man because of his race, the victim was left savagely beaten and blinded in one eye for life. He received a light sentencing and went on to become a hollywood star. Yet nobody really condemns him for his actions, seems like violence against asians gets you pretty far in this society.
Senator John McCain makes the remark " I hate G00kz" yet is there any backlash? Does the news even cover it? No, he is regarded an american hero that is infallible. Or they say " oh, he was a POW" so he can use that kind of racial slur".
When people talk about the history of racism in the US do they mention the Japanese internment camps? Do they mention the Chinatown race riots that were more violent than the race riots against black communities? Do they mention the Chinese exclusion act? Do mention Asian portrayal and dehumanization in the media? Do they mention the Yellow Peril phenomenon? The LA Koreatown riots and the police with no help from the police? Do they mention the fact that Asians are the most bullied race in America while being the most peaceful and law abiding?
Seems like when an Asian speaks up people are quick to brush it off as another silly chinaman speaking on big boy issues, " leave the race talks to the blacks and whites silly man" or they will marginalize it and say " nobody hates asians". Well if that is true then why are they the most bullied race in America? Often victims of hate crimes and violence? Why are crimes against asians the least punished? Why is it considered politically correct to be racist against them?
I want the cycle of violence, hate and ridicule to stop against asians, this issue needs to be discussed because I am sick of people victimizing my people just because they think its OK to do so.
