Why doesn't Chris Weidman get credit for beating Anderson Silva?

Anderson and Weidman fought for a total of 12 and a half minutes in the cage and in that time frame Silva was almost knocked out on two separate occasions, was legitimately knocked out once, and had his leg broken. At literally no point in those 12 and a half minutes was Anderson ever winning, or was even remotely competitive with Weidman. 15 minutes is the normal length of time a fight is. If those two fights were the same fight, and Anderson had somehow survived, Weidman would've won a clear decision

No. Silva COULDVE been losing his spark, but theres no doubt that he fucked around and found out.

Hes clowned before, sure, but this one was his most egotistical meeting a hard strike from a heavy hitter. Weidman did his job regardless.

He was BEATING Maia and Leites. They couldnt land anything on him. Exact opposite of Chris.

He was losing this fight as soon as the bell rang, why would he "not take it seriously" after that pretty disastrous first round?

Henderson was able to win the first round against him, you didnt see him acting like he wasnt taking it serious in the 2nd.

chris wasn't landing anything in the first round and you could see the frustration building in his face and body language.

Its obvious. Silva knew Hendo was legit, same with Vitor which is why he didn't try clowning them. He tried clowning chris cuz again he thought chris was another Maia or leites

My dad was a huge Silva fan as am I, and he still swears to this day he threw the fight. Just don't want to accept a bad loss.

As previously stated a few times in this thread. With Maia, leites and Chris he clowned around excessively. With vitor and hendo he didn't at all

In regards to Weidman, he got hurt in the first round and knew he had nothing for him on thr ground. He was rattled and frustrated, hence why he took his mind games up a notch.

Also keep in mind he was dead serious in the second fight yet looked utterly helpless throughout.

Chris hadn't really landed anything and silva was never in any real danger in round 1

Silva slipped and rolled with every strike but maybe 1 or 2 until the ko.

Aside from the takedown Chris hadn't shown much and again silva was dodging everything so of course he would keep doing it against an unknown newcomer
