Winning titles in both Pride and UFC with bad cardio?Coleman?

Because on Sherdog, bodyfat means bad cardio and ripped/muscles means in shape.
Just saw it, and you're right about Coleman, different era of MMA though. GSP's whole game today is wrestling, without it he would possibly not be champ. He is known today for his wrestling more than anything.Watch his fight against Maurice Smith, Maurice pretty much won by exposing and exploiting Coleman's poor cardio.
And GSP is not a wrestler. Several of the fighters you mentioned have had cardio issues in the past.
Actually, his game really is BJJ. Even though his wrestling is great and allows him to take pretty much anyone down, his top control is what makes him able to beat guys and that is all BJJ.Just saw it, and you're right about Coleman, different era of MMA though. Most wrestlers in early MMA like (many of whom were better actual wrestlers then many of the current top MMA wrestlers) had cardio issues when fighting MMA. It's just a different sport. My point was, to wrestle with succsess you must have great cardio, a striker don't, generally speaking. Great wrestlers in modern MMA, must all have great cardio to excel.
He won the UFC belt in two minutes.Winning titles in both Pride and UFC with bad cardio?
Point made, how about mine?He won the UFC belt in two minutes.
Well, sure, but if he does not sub or KO opponents it's his wrestling that does it for him more than anything today. His cardio has excelled with it, and he use it tire out (control) opponents on top. Just look at Cain as a prime example of my point, where the cardio is an actual weapon of the wrestler.Actually, his game really is BJJ. Even though his wrestling is great and allows him to take pretty much anyone down, his top control is what makes him able to beat guys and that is all BJJ.

Wrestlers usualy have good or great cardio by default.
After seeing Bubba Jenkins and Shawn Bunch gas to shit in Bellator recently, I'm gonna have to disagree.Point made, how about mine?
Wrestler (usually) have (today speaking) good or great cardio.
Only people who are saying this are butthurt Jon Jones fans who are upset that their boy is going to get wrecked by Daniel Cormier.
