Why do I highly doubt Ilia will ever fight @ WW

Illa is way to small to fight at WW. Most of the guys probably walk around at solid 185 to 200lbs and they aren't FAT at that weight.

Reality is Illa is on the small side for 155 even.

Ilia fought at bantam weight 2 years prior to coming to the UFC.

Matt Hughes is not a LW. Sherk is hardly a small LW also. Penn also beat Gomi and Sanchez who were were good sized.

Penn fought Fitch and GSP and had close fights with both of them. They're LWs to you?

Matt Hughes in today’s WW division would be small compared to guys like Shavkat, Garry, Usman, JDM, Edwards. He would fight at LW today, Matt walked alright 175/180 lbs. Sherk would also be a FW today, in today’s LW division he would be a smaller LW, Sherk was 170 off camp. Gomi was by no means a good size LW Lol, he was 160 off camp and barely even cut weight, he like the others would be a FW. So all of these guys would fight in lower classes.

GSP had a close fight with Penn in the first fight, but Penn got dominated in the rematch. Keep one thing in mind here, GSP put on size as his career went on. GSP in 06 was about 178 and in 09 was 185-190. He put in size to compensate for the bigger WWs and his grappling heavy style and a potential move to MW. And you can see in the rematch how much more dominant GSP was, he was bigger. Fitch was a bigger guy no doubt, I’ll give you that. But Rory and Nick he heavily struggled with.

So the points stand. Penn was able to do well vs these guys as they are comparable in size. And these would mostly all be in lower classes today. So it’s not like Penn would go up to WW or MW today in his prime and have any success, he would get killed.

Sherk used to be 180+ off camp then slimmed down to 175 to make LW. Very low body fat % and still a 20lbs cut to 155. He and Sanchez were decent sized LWs even by today standars. Far from certain that they.'d compete at FW for long.
Fitch and GSP were good sized WWs when BJ gave them a tough fight.
Ilia fought as low as BW iirc, hard to take on the biggest WWs but he definitely would challenge Belal or Islam at 170 and be at least competitive

well first off you can’t really tell from a picture and so it’s always a lot of oohs and ahhs when one fighter is taller

I do have functional eyes, yes, and a brain that keeps me from eating my own feces.
I already knew Ilia was smaller. Just wanted to check to what extent.

But it turns out I'm not an anatomy draftsman or a taxonomist.

I know AI commits proportion aberrations. But how was I supposed to get a more accurate size comparison?
So providing the most precise data, I got a precise enough side-to-side. It's perfect? Not barely close.
But it's the best I could get.

170 is too big for Ilia. I mean there's some guys like Khamzat & Rumble who can cut down to 170 when they really should be at 185 or even higher. Ilia being a FW/LW fighting against Mw's possibly even LHW'S is insane.
