There are some amazing physicists that can understand things on a level that 99.9% of the world can’t comprehend. But some of these guys can’t shoot a basketball, or go to a bar and talk to girls. And can they be creative, like writing a novel or composing music? It’s interesting to think about.....I would say for pure smarts it would have to be Thomas Edison. Over 1000 patents to his name. Many ideas were original.
