Getting crotch sniffed isn't getting destroyed. Khumzhat had him in the cricifix and couldn't even come close to finishing DDP. Khumzhat was so scared to stand with DDP and the few moments that they did, DDP about knocked him back to the petting zoo.

I find it funny how Khamzat gets crucified for a complete bell to bell grappling domination where DDP was rendered literally helpless, but Merab gets praised for 5 rounds of completely ineffective grappling where he fails 50 takedowns and asserts ZERO control.

Gustafsson literally called him "next big thing of Swedish MMA" during one press conferences before Khamzat was known by anyone. How did Khamzat repay him?

This is where semantics matter, Khamzat undoubtedly dominated DDP, he made him look amateur in grappling, but he definitely didnt destroy him, DDP couldve lost 10 more rounds like that and still walked away on his own accord and been back to training the next day.

I'm not sure the semantics matter that much, Khamzat controlling his opponent for 5 rounds with DDP absolutely having nothing for him is the outcome of the fight. It doesn't really matter if you call that a destruction or a domination, the fight still was a very convincing win for Khamzat and I don't think Strickland has much for him.
