The Democratic Party is a joke—not because they’re some radical leftist movement, but because they’re just Republicans in a slightly nicer suit. They throw out a few social programs, toss some scraps to working people, and then act like they’ve revolutionized the country. Meanwhile, behind closed doors, they’re just as owned by Wall Street, Big Pharma, and Silicon Valley as the GOP. They talk a big game about taxing the rich but quietly renew Trump’s corporate tax cuts. They promise to fight for workers, then refuse to back a general strike or pass meaningful labor protections. The best they can muster is “at least we aren’t openly trying to burn the country down,” which, while technically true, is a pathetically low bar.
But even that bare-minimum effort makes them look like Karl Marx compared to the Christian Nationalist Republicans, who have gone full Prosperity Gospel mode and abandoned every moral principle their supposed savior preached. Jesus talked about helping the poor, feeding the hungry, and rejecting greed. Modern conservatives took one look at that and decided, “Nah, we’re going with ‘rich people are chosen by God, and the poor should suffer harder.’” These are the same people who worship billionaires while blocking universal healthcare, demonizing the homeless, and gutting social programs—all while screaming about how America needs to return to Christian values. They’re more interested in banning drag shows and making sure trans kids can’t exist than in making sure poor kids can eat.
At the end of the day, Democrats are weak capitalist enablers who offer just enough support to keep the system from fully collapsing, while Republicans are actively cheering on the collapse as long as the right people suffer. The whole system is a rigged game designed to keep wealth hoarded at the top, and the only real difference is how quickly each party wants to sell you out.
