Who hits harder? Ngannou or Foreman

Foreman probably; his arm punches put people to sleep; he didnt even punch with much aggression, so his hands were absolute stones. His jab would and did can some great boxers.

The two most destructive punches in combat sports history is Deontay Wilders right hand and David Tua’s left hook.

Foreman due to the level of opponents he knocked out and heavier gloves with more padding. Finishing Frazier x2 and Norton was very impressive, not to mention holding the HW title in in the 70s and 90s. We would need to see Ngannou in big gloves fighting some really durable high level opponents to figure it out. They both hit incredibly hard

It doesn't even look like Foreman put power behind some of his punches. He had really heavy hands

Big George was a farm boy, did manual labor daily he continued doing farm work as part of his training an daily to stay in shape

George was 6'4 and 225 pounds in his prime and a freak of nature he had truly dense heavy bone structure

Man dude really knew how to turn his hips into those hooks, you can heard that thud and how he dents the heavy ass sand near the bottomt he hardest part of a bag. Thats how hard this mans bones were the bottom of the bag is hard as fuck most people cant indent the bottom like that shit is like concrete.

Whats interesting about big George is his personality in his youth, dude was an angry guy, never smiled, all serious just had a chip on his shoulder, and then all of a sudden he became this smiling, happy loving grandpa type figure always friendly and smiling. Never seen something like that before, when a persons personality changes completely

Since this is a Big George Foreman thread, how about a classic slugfest of his with Ron Lyle

- Multiple knock downs by each fighter

Obviously George Foreman.
Since George Foreman is being brought up I recently seen this fight between Foreman and Ron Lyle. The punches these men where hitting each other with were mythical.

LMAO I was about to post his good thing I skimmed through the pages

Ron Lyle would likely destroy these modern day heavyweights too, dude was a burly guy with light feet and fast punches and power, Foreman is a slow plodder his punches never looked impressive but his bones were so heavy he could hurt you with arm punches dude was truly heavy handed for sure.

Its crazy how Foreman wasn't slick at all but would just walk guys down and take shots to give shots, no emotion at all when he fights kinda reminds me of that Fedor machine quality

Man I miss the heavyweights of yesteryear, the last great heavyweight fight I saw where guys were big and had good stamina and threw a lot of shots was Ike Ibeabuchi vs David Tua these guys were big and powerful and were throwing bombs and had good stamina

Good god...Ike Ibeabuchi. Talk about a Nigerian Nightmare. Too bad he had all those mental health issues.

Watching some of Holyfield's fight, its actually an ungodly amount of punishment boxers can take.

It's pretty remarkable. Some of the worst beatings I've ever seen in combat that didn't result in KO's were these boxers: Old Foreman, Holyfield, Tua, Ibeabuchi, Vitali KLitschko, Ali, Frazier, Bowe, Tyson, Ruddock, Mercer etc.

The Nelson chins used to find their way into boxing. Nowadays it's rare to find a HW boxer with a great chin.

On average Foreman certainly hits harder.

Due to Nganou's longer reach, smaller gloves, and the momentum he put into his strikes I'd guess he's landed some of the biggest hardest single punches between the two men.

I'd rather eat the shot that put Norton down than the one that put Overeem down, but the Combo that put Norton down... thats a different story.

Truly vicious display. Norton's entire body is being thrown around from the pure force of the punches.

He got out of prison and manny pacauiao was going to promote his comeback but the commissions said he wasn't mentally fit to fight or something. The man was crazy and not in a good way, he had violent mentality and paranoid outside the ring.

Tyson Fury will earn 1 billion boxing, why doesn't Francis show that power in boxing?!

he wouldn't be so special with boxing gloves.

Francis chose MMA because he would be destroyed in boxing, if he was good at boxing he would make more money.

to be fair, Ngannou's coach chose MMA for him because he told him he'd get paid faster in MMA. he wasn't wrong.

Ngannou still wants to box now that he's the champion in UFC.

Foreman is considered one of the hardest punchers in boxing. He looks so casual, his punches look so effortless, yet he puts people to sleep with one punch.
Ngannou is more explosive though.
I think Foreman has an advantage in the power department.

In boxing Ngannou wouldn't last 1 minute with Foreman.

44 YO Foreman beats all the boxer of today within 5 rounds combined

Shovel punch king...

Foreman had more power for sure...seeing as he studied a punching only sport...

Thats not to say ngannou isnt powerful...

Just different sports...

Its like whos stronger lifting wise a greco roman wrestler or a freestyle wrestler...

The greco guy is gunna be a stronger lifter by nature of his sport compared to a freestyle wrestler

Skill specific power is a real thing

Anyone who doesn’t immediately say Foreman is a fucking idiot who doesn’t know shit about boxing or MMA.

Foreman has one of the highest KO percentages in heavyweight boxing history, and did it during boxing’s absolute golden age.

Tyson was a punches in bunches type of guy. He had a shitload of power, but he was well behind guys like Foreman or Shavers
Tyson has more one punch KOs than Foreman. Foreman hit harder tho.

I'll give you david Tua's left hook but guys like Lennox Lewis and Vladimir Klitschko right hands I believe were more devastating than Wilder's.

Yea didnt he kidnap some women and held her in a hotel room?

Wilder is a fucking caveman. If he’d fought in the 70’s or 90’s he would’ve been absolutely decapitated.

The problem with Sherdog is it’s filled with ignorant, idiotic zoomer retards who don’t know shit and know it louder than anyone in history.

45yr Foreman with a 10th rd KO of 26 yr undefeated HW champ Michael Moorer.
That's being heavy handed.
Not sure Francis could pull that off so late in a fight

lRs9wo2.gif

Not necessarily.

Moorer was a chinny, undersized HW who used to fight at LHW. Got dropped/hurt in like every big fight he ever had.
