Who here is picking TJ Grant over Maynard, and why?

TJ's stand up combined with Gray falling in love with his hands recently means this is my pick for FOTN.

I think that Grant will be one of the first fighters as big and strong as Maynard, thus being able to handle his takedowns. Also think that Grant will be able to beat him up on the feet and get the UD.

everybody still just underestimating Grant like that? after destroying one of my favs Matt Wiman, the dude is the real deal. Gray is one dimensional and hasnt even used that dimension in years
So, Gray Maynard is a defenseless fighter?
Yeah, right. lol

I'm not picking Grant to win, but if he does, it wouldn't shock me. He's no joke.

He has one KO over Veres, and rocked Frankie in two fights and was never able to put him away. Split decisions over Nate Diaz, Guida, and Huerta. If you look at the way Gray won his fights, he does seem one dimensional.

Gray Maynard, if you take the time to actually watch fights, has knocked down/rocked every opponent he's faced. And those opponents were the very top in the Division.
Maynard has the fastest UFC LW Division KO at 9 sec.
Gray did everything you're supposed to do for a Finish or 10-7(6) round in Maynard/Edgar 2, except kill him. If you saw the fight you would know that.
I suppose you would have been shocked had the fight been stopped seconds in, their third fight also.

Heres the simplest breakdown for ya

Maynard is better, his striking isnt , not by a lot but TJ is sharper, if (and thats not a small if) maynard fights smart and mixes in TD's with his striking he will take a UD, if he spends too much time getting hammered by TJ , allowing him to build confidence and diminishing his own he will most likely lose a 29-28 UD, the first 2 rounds will let you know who won this fight, my money is on maynard because the dude actually only lost once, and TJ has lost to much lesser competition, but TJ's size and development makes me incredibly worried

You're correct.
If TJ Grant can beat Gray Maynard, he will have the best current resume in the LW Division, bar none.

uhm no he doesn't and Not one of those things you even mentioned have anything to do with him being one dimensional.

Shit in the Huerta fight he showed good boxing, good submissions, good cardio and good wrestling but it makes him seem one dimensional because one dumb ass judge scored the fight incorrectly?
Two Judges scored for Maynard 30-27. One scored for Huerta 29-28. Unbelievable, wasn't it.

You seem like a smart aleck, grow up.

Says the guy who takes offense at people who aren't picking Gray. I guess you're getting crabby because it's way past your bed time. You should get some rest.

Grant has been looking good but I can't really imagine him beating Maynard unless he comes out like a beast and has improved leaps and bounds.

Maynard said he thinks he's better than Grant in every area. I tend to agree, although Grant may have better offensive BJJ. I thinkMaynard should win a pretty dominant decision here.
