Who here is picking TJ Grant over Maynard, and why?

I've got 800 bucks ON TEE JAY GRANT.

best dog of the card. bigger then maynard, better striker, better clinch, only disadvantage is wrestling.

i think tj wins this, his striking is much better in my opinion and he's just as big and strong as gray.

i've been wrong before though.

TJ Grant. I think he has better range, better in the clinch, and is sick off his back. He's tough as hell to boot. Gray can definitey prove me wrong, I just feel TJ is on a mission. Also shocks me how many people are sleeping on TJ. When Grant fights, he looks SO much better each time out. What he did to Wiman was crazy impressive. But what it really boils down to is he trains with a friend of mine at FitPlus and I've met him. Dude is a typical Maritimer. Just easy going with no heir of superiority at all.

I am biased as well. Fitplus is 5 minutes from my house. That aside, I have TJ based on his ever evolving skill set and most importantly, his mind set. He looked so relaxed and calm in the Wiman fight. That type of fight mentality will take TJ a long way. Best fight on this great card. Move over Sid Crosby and Nathan Mackinnon, the champ is here.

I think Maynard respects Grant enough to not blunder this, cmon Bully!!!

How do you see the ebb and flow of this fight going? Just curious.

I think Maynard will be surprised with how tough Grant is and he will slowly breakdown. He hasn't fought in a while and he will struggle to find a rhythm. Always been a big fan of Maynard but Grant has impressively won 4 straight and looked differemt in each bout. Should be a close fight to start but Grant should pull away eventually if Maynard does fade.

I think Grant will win if the fight stays standing. Not saying that Maynard can't box but Grant is very aggressive and I'm not sure about Maynard's chin.

I'll pick Grant by TKO . Maynard is not an elusive guy, he will be there to get hit and TJ makes the most of openings. I doubt Maynard will be dedicated too much to making this a grappling battle and TJ has the TDD to discourage this further. On the ground TJ is very strong and not likely to be held down and dominated.
Gray does have some power but TJ has a very good chin. Cardio should be a non-issue unless one of them wants to push a fast pace as a strategy ,but that would a big change for either guy making it unlikely. With neither being a volume striker I believe it comes down to who can do the most damage when the chance is there, TJ Grant by TKO.

Grant > Chonan > Anderson Silva

I think that's the pretty obvious answer.

Good luck to you, sir!

I can't see it going any other way than Maynard outwrestling Grant to a decision.

He is also about 5-10 minutes away from my house too....I live in Colby lol.

Small world.

Anyway, I'm really 50/50 on this fight, I'm rooting for TJ and I think he has the advantage standing and if it remains on the feet for most of the bout I think he'll pull it off. However, if Gray decides to capitalize on TJ's questionable TDD then he probably wins.

Thanks!
Always good to see another civil perspective.

I can seriously see Grant taking this. He's looked so good lately. Granted he hasn't fought anyone at Grey's level, but people should still take consideration. He's a big LW who just keeps getting better. Hopefully its an exciting back and forth fight.

Could be. But, Maynard has knocked down/rocked every opponent he's faced. I have no reason to think that TJ will be an exception.
