IMO, this is Khamzat's fight to win or lose. He can dictate where the fight takes place. I'll be even more impressed if he beats Leech on the feet but I don't think he wants to play that game unless he sets things up with his grappling or uses it to mix things up for his grappling.

If he tries his luck with Leech in the striking, that's when things get very, very interesting.

Who has the striking advantage?

Probably Leech, Khamzat needs to go full Khabib and make an statement

We know Khamzat has power, but his smeshing comes from his ground and pound. Until we see otherwise, the Leech is probably a better pure striker. Dude has knocked out some good fighters. However the threat of the takedown is the great neutralizer

Nobody really knows how good Chimaev’s striking is. Maybe we’ll know more about after tomorrow.
That’s just it. I’ve seen one punch and he practically killed the guys so I can’t exactly say I’ve seen a whole lot of footage against ufc quality strikers

Khamzat with that rapid fire gnp or that one punch Tyson punch.

IMO Leech is the better striker as he is more proven, but Khamzat has more power (he one punch KO'd GM3 who's a big MW) and his grappling (threat of takedown) supplements his striking.

4 oz gloves it depends on how Li approaches the standup portion of the fight.
Toe to toe he's probably F'd.

If he circles, uses footwork, controls the distance, and doesn't overextend, then he (from what I've seen) has the fundamentals to potentially pick apart Khamzat on the feet.
He has to be extremely measured, stick to that game plan, and not relax for a second until he has Khamzat stumbling.

Khamzat via TKO in 2

I am going for leech, but Khamzat will walk through him.. Leech really struggled with Magny, Khamzat is a terrifying beast.. he's built different..

Li just based off of the fact that he's faced and beat very dangerous guys on the feet, and has had to go through a lot of adversity at times.

If Khamzat is to lose, it'll most likely be due to him pushing too hard for a finish that won't come. His best bet would be to choke Li out.

I think Hazmat does, because he moves forward and has better distance management. With the takedown threat, it is just a bad combo. I see it going no longer than the 2nd round.

Leech is better when opponents are moving back or circling but he does have some home run power. I can see him landing some on Hazmat which gets me wondering. I am going to check out some analysis on this fight.

I go with Hazmat but he is going to move in slower and keep his hands a lille more forward than usual...shorten up punches with his long range. Leech will look threatening at some time and may even land some. I think we will see what kind of Chin Hazmat has unless he goes straight for a takedown early on.

I’ve seen a million of these hype trains. Usually doesn’t end pretty

I’d give Kham a power advantage but leech a slight technical advantage.

no ones talking about the effects of covid the damage it has done . i feel he aint the same fighter khamzat
