Rewatch Why do people think RDR/Fluffy have a better chance than imavov against Khamzat?

I want to see Fluffy win, but I just think he’s too small, man. I’m struggling with the size difference between Imavov/Fluffy and Khamzat/DDP—how is that even possible? Maybe it’s the TV, and in person they look closer in size.
Yeah, while I don't give RDR or anyone else right now much of a chance against Khamzat, I'd rather see RDR than anyone else. First, because he's almost 35 and his prime will soon be gone. Second, because he's a legit huge MW grappler who made Whittaker (former WW) look at least 1 weight class smaller.

With that said, DDP is a big and super strong MW and that didn't do anything except possibly keep him from getting submitted. Maybe RDR will be harder to take down and better off his back. Maybe.

Chimaev beats them all, but Hernandez's style makes for the most interesting matchup, in my opinion…

I still can’t wrap my head around the DDP/Khamzat fight. IMO, things might be clearer after DDP and Khamzat’s next fight. Khamzat might keep it standing, and DDP might wrestle. Imavov was not very enthusiastic about any match with Khamzat in his speech last night, its smart as the next guy to fight him is the "test subject".

De Ridder eats punches and that ain't good so he probably loses early via punches by Khamzat. He has a slim chance of winning via submission but I wouldn't put a C note on him

RDR would die well. I don’t see him just accepting bottom position like DDP did. He’d take the risk to escape and open himself up to subs and gn’p.
That's what I'd hope for, and I think that's a more intriguing match-up than either Kumshot vs Fluffy or Imanov.

Brother I have two points to refute that:

A) Izzy’s been washed for a while now. He’s 1-4 since running into Alex and taken extensive damage.

B) Let’s not forget Imavov set up that cheap overhand right with his patent eyepoke lol. He always seems to fight with his fingers extended and conveniently always lands eye pokes anytime he needs a reset.

Imavov is great at his craft don’t get me wrong, but he’s not a true one shot KO guy. He’s needs volume to finish but the only issue is his work rate is low because he’s a counter puncher and his cardio is shaky.

Izzy got dropped by pillow fisted Strickland ffs 🤦🏻‍♂️ 😂 😭

AP finally cracked his chin. 100+ professional fights across boxing, kickboxing, MMA will do that.

RDR and fluffy are grapplers, RDR specifically has really good bjj(one of the few actual black belts in mma)

imavov is "just" a good striker with decent TDD

RDRs goofy giraffe on skates ass is gonna get mangled against everyone on this list.

That is all.

Fluffy has a pace and stamina that can give anyone problems. I favor Khamzat, but I feel that his pace over the course of 5 rounds may cause issues; the reason why I favor Khamzat, however, is because I don't feel that Fluffy can wear him out from his back.

Imavov might be the biggest underdog ever against Chimaev. RDR and Fluffy would have a chance.

mindless hype so that they have something to think and talk about.
