Who has the Highest Fight IQ in MMA history?

Surprised by the picks in here.

Fedor is my fav fighter. That said, his fight IQ was low. He often fought to his opponents strengths despite having clear advantages in other areas. Look no further than the Maldonado bout, opting to stand and trade rather than taking the fight to the mat for much easier route to victory.

GSP, Khabib, and Jones are the highest level of fight IQ

has to be jones. Never has been submitted, knocked down, or unconcious in over 10 years.

Throwing a ton of leg kicks with reckless abandon doesn't scream high IQ to me but Conor is such a fooking savage so I'm probably wrong.

Kalib Starnes or Carlos Condit. Didn't even look like they just got done fighting after the Quarry and Diaz fights.

I have no idea who have the highest, but i can name several fighters with pretty much perfect in-cage decision-making skills:

DJ, GSP, Jones, Volkanovski, TJ, Cruz...

Anderson Silva in MMA.
I'd say Silva is an example of a guy who mostly benefitted from being absurdly skilled on a technical level.

He got finished twice because of inredibly stupid in-cage decision, be it taunting against a long and rangy Weidman or throwing an inside leg kick with zero set up.

Another Doodoo Murderkick thread praising ConRat.

Why’d he throw a bunch of kicks if his leg was compromised before the fight??

Best fight IQ: Prime Kettlebell Fedor
Terrible fight IQ: “Its gods will” headhunter Fedor

Sakuraba in his Gracie fights is a pure example of fight IQ before the term was even used. He basically outsmarted them to victory using the rules the Gracies insisted on. His fight IQ was only weak in the opponents he chose later in his career.

Love him or hate him, I choose to love Jon Jones

My Canadian GSP high on that list too...
