Who do you believe UFC or USADA?

Who do you believe?

Can you imagine Conor walking into the octagon super jacked and everyone making jokes about USADA testing because that's exactly what was going to happen.

USADA wanted 6 months minimum to save face from maximum criticism.

USADA says UFC let them go because of Conor. They UFC wanted Conor to be given special treatment and refused so they got dumped

UFC says USADA is lying to save face after they decided to go with a different company. They say USADA has a lot of inefficiencies and they want to work with someone who can do it better

Who’s telling the truth?

Could be a bit of both. It’s in the interests of USADA management to have a good excuse for losing such a notable customer, so I’m taking this explanation with a grain of salt. But is Dana White capable of blowing up a deal over something like this (not giving Conor an exemption)? Of course. So who knows….

I voted for you last year in round 1.

I will not be voting for you at all this year. A POTY does not make such a ridiculously woeful thread.

They are both very untrustworthy organizations. So it doesn't matter much to me.

I don't think the UFC would ever partner with somebody that wasn't a bit corrupt and we've seen it in multiple Jones and Brock situations.

Dana seemed to completely dismiss USADA to the public and knowing how aggressive Dana gets when it comes to his stars I'm guessing he asked for too much of an exemption. I doubt USADA is clean overall but I think Dana/UFC got too blinded by a Conor payday and are cutting ties with any obstacles.

Who’s telling the truth?
Don't know, but both parties are probably a bit fishy....

Neither. But usada were definitely power troopers and kinda creepy while at intentionally or not

Idk. I'm more of the mind that if the UFC or any large is doing sketchy shit then it should 100% be made public knowledge. If USADA is telling the truth then good on them for having integrity

Of course if they're not then that's terrible practice and the ufc should seek legsl repercussions but Dana and Co have done very little to build trust in the public eye. I wouldn’t put anything they've been accused of past them

it's just strange and very unbecoming of an organization that you equate with a governing body, or at least a mandated reporting organization.

Remember Dana White was asked about Conor saying he was fighting in December and if USADA would allow it (something like that) and Dana said "who gives a shit what USADA thinks"

that should tell you who to believe.
<PlusJuan>This!

I doubt there is really anyone who would believe D. White or some of his a..lickers.

Neither but UFC is probably lying more than USADA
I tend to believe that as well. USADA had a "you're guilty until proven innocent." Investigate people then find them innocent and give them a short suspension but they lost half a year. On the other side Bisping said when he was in USADA he didn't check any of his supplements and had no issues and implied there was more to the tainted supplement thing. Then you got the whole thing where people are tested, fight, then get found dirty afterwards. Sure they get a suspension after but I thought the whole point was fighters don't have to fight dirty fighters. Fighters didn't seem to like they way the operated either.

Now Vince McMahon can finally get his 'World Bodybuilding Federation' back 1990 folded in 1992 as tried to be steroid free.

USADA was probably mad Conor and whoever else involved (potentially the UFC) found that loophole, and were trying to prevent it from happening as it kinda makes USADA look like a joke.

Dana said Conor is playing by the rules, to leave him alone.

What loophole?

I mean, the contract expired in 2024... They are under TKO now... They are cutting costs....

Usada did the same thing for ufc 200 and Lesnar.

It would make sense if they did the same for Conor.

It's Usada's fault imo

Based on the fact pattern above USADA. They are more trustworthy and their story makes sense. Dana and the UFCs go to after a breakup is character assassination to the point even if they are telling the truth people believe they are full of shit.

I don't think the UFC wants a cheating rampant sport but they don't want drug testing to get in the way of their non contending carnival types who make them money(Brock, Conor, Diaz etc). At the end of the day USADA was brought in for the UFCs valuation when it was being sold. It has outlived its usefulness and unlike the SACs USADA is a private organization the UFC doesn't HAVE to let drug test its fighters.
