White: Velasquez vs Dos Santos III could be a while away

Lol. CLING to that moment. Cain still mopped the floor with him the other night. :(?

XD

Cling to the rematch let's see if the same results happen in the rubber match. Cain V. fans don't want another rematch because they fear JDS could walk away with another KO victory.

Not at all. I'm convinced after the other night that Cain would rip him apart again. He is quite clearly the better fighter.

But it is too soon.

If Werdum beats Nog I would like to see him get the title shot after what will probably be Overeem's title shot. And then depending on who's champion you can do Cormier with a title shot. Both Cain and JDS are still young and you don't want to burn through their trilogy so soon. They're both going to be around for a long time and if you do the rubber match now you're essentially making whoever loses the 3rd fight into the Rich Franklin of the division, to where he has to sit around and wait till the champ who beat him 2 times loses his belt.

It's too soon? It was too soon for a rematch. Let it happen.

I'm a Cain fan, at least for me any ways fear isn't the word I'd use. I saw both fights, and after the 2nd the only way a 3rd would go JDS's way is another 1 punch KO. It's sad to see a clearly better fighter lose like that. I like competitive fights, and no amount of going back to the drawing board will help JDS. If the fight happens and JDS repeats the 1st, it would make him 2-1 against Cain. But not the better fighter.

So winning by Ko doesn't make you the better fighter. Damn what was I thinking.

Stop arguing that Matt Serra is a better fighter than GSP.

Compaing Matt Serra to JDS is stupid. JDS dominates almost everyone in the division and is a known boxer who is known for his KO power.

Random thought...how about Duffe vs Santos?Duffman needs a step up(this would be one hell of a step up in competition) and Junior needs a solid victory before he fights Cain again.

No, saying that getting an early fluke knockout makes you the better fighter is stupid. Especially when the guy on the unlucky end of that punch comes back and dominates the rematch.

Cain's the better fighter. It is not up for discussion.

Now that we've got that out of the way I'm still waiting for your answer. Who was a more viable option than Cain for JDS to defend against at UFC 155?

BS, Cain wins one fight gets his rematch and JDS is going to have to wait. Zuffa is so full of shit because they only want to exploit Cain to market him towards mexicans.

Tell me who was a more viable option than Cain to fight JDS at UFC 155.

Cain got a rematch after only 1 win after getting drubbed in 64 seconds.

JDS got beat down for 25 minutes, but didn't get finished -- sure JDS's pride is probably hurt but I'm still not sure which the worse way to lose would be.

If JDS comes back with a dominating win I don't see why he has to wait a year or more for a rematch -- Cain only needed 1 win.

Overroid -- the test dodger shouldn't even be allowed to fight for the title. How do you test positive after dodging tests -- then knowing (i.e you were told) that you would be randomly tested? What a disgrace that would be if he wins the belt -- but people don't care about honor and integrity anymore, so I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall.

It's not a matter of who's more viable or who the number one contender for Zuffa. It's all about what fight is going to make more money at the current time. Chael hasn't fought at 205 in years but yet he's the number one contender.

Cain would have needed more than 1 win if there was just one other heavyweight they could have used to fight JDS. But there wasn't. Cain was the only viable option.

You didn't answer the question. You bitched about Cain getting such a quick rematch, I want to know who you would have had fight JDS at UFC 155.

There was nobody else who could've generated more ppv buys for Zuffa than Cain at 155.

It would be better for JDS if he fought at least two times before facing the man that wrecked him... standing.

Cain proved he was the better fighter that night well so if he can do that in a rematch. It shows by how confident you are about Cain by repeating everything you say like a broken record.
