Pretty good day. I felt in a strongmanish mood so I tried a max axle C&P. I had never done a continental before but it went ok. I can how being fat would help because I have a horrifying blood blister forming on the flap of skin between the axle and my belt. I got the 255 locked out but was dancing around a little and didn't want to back into the rack behind me. Not perfect but I'll use it as a baseline. I provided epic lulz for people by missing a box jump and almost knocking myself out on the axle. Glad I could brighten somebody's day.





I had to step up my production values to compete with Godsen.

Youtube is an abomination. They remove all the best music. You can try All Shall Perish, they have some good stuff. Or The Sword. I don't think those get muted.
 
I wrote Tony the Freak a basic 4 day a week program and he's stuck with it for 3 weeks. He looked like he gained 10 pounds of muscle last night. Starting the first week of September when he's not working insane hours he's going to start training with me.

I've come to the conclusion that 5/3/1 sucked a nut for my bench press. After a little over a month I feel like I can bench a million pounds again, doing basically what I did before I hit 350 out of nowhere. My press strength sucked, a byproduct of the axle work from last Friday. My shoulders and traps have been sore ever since.

I've been doing bodyweight squats for the past two weeks and am going to give squatting a go tomorrow. If all is well, it's back to destroying souls.
 
It's funny you say that about the 5/3/1 for your bench. I think it has been pretty good for my bench, but my bench sucks, so maybe that's why.
