Whiskey, War, Suicide, and Guns

It's because we all hate our careers and lift with the anger of someone who fucked up his direction in life.

I would guess that average test levels are a bit higher in technical fields (excluding physics...) relative to arts & humanities.

About 3 weeks of interviewing before I took the good offer. As a civil engineer interested in the transportation field, I had the good fortune of a huge ass T-Bill being dropped from congress and some reports about rapidly crumbling infrastructure of our country getting headlines so the market was good, even though Ohio/Michigan is about the asshole of America as far as economy goes right now. If you are civil I say you will be good to go. America loves to build shit right now, despite high material costs. I don't plan on staying here long though, as soon as the lady is done with law school we plan to move to the Pacific Northwest.

I'm deciding between chemical and biomedical but I think I should hopefully be in the same boat when I graduate. It seems like no matter how shitty the economy is doing, everyone always needs engineers. Maybe I'm way off base but I hope not.

Today was approximately 10x better than last Tuesday. First, I conclued that my raging back pump last week was due to me not effectively using my glutes, sure enough I really concentrated on throwing my shoulders back and contracting my glutes hard at the top and my back feels better than when I started. I also bumped the weight down a bit because I suck badly at deadlifting for reps. This paid off and the loading was perfect, one more rep on the last set would have been technical failure.

My squat is fucking dialed in. I didn't even really feel taxed by them today, except my hip flexors are a little sore. Things are going great here in Sheiko land.

how long did all this take? that's some nice volume right there....i'd have taken 2-3 hours to get through that...haha...

About 2.5 hours today.

Also, I weighed in at 214. My post workout meal consisted of 30 mcnuggets from wendy's. Despite my best efforts I don't think I will get to 220 before the meet, I can't gain at all on this volume.

Notice that I have not shaved for 2 weeks, thus developing a beard of strength that gives me a 10% carry over to my lifts.

Once the edges of your mustache grow enough to connect to the beard, you will pull 6 plates. Bet!

Alas, I am doomed to never have a connecting mustache and beard, thus destroying my true hope of one day rocking a Fu Manchu.

dude, the beard thing is true. i really do lose some strength every time i shave. im serious.

i ate shredded beef and mac and cheese sandwiches that helped me gain a ton of weight.

Dude your 2 week beard dominates mine. Here's a picture of me after ~ a month of no shaving:
