Where the Bo Nickal hype at???

People usually aren't hyped on wrestlers. I'm pretty hyped but I can't remember the last great wrestler that people got hyped for.

Khamzat had and still has quite some hype behind him, bud.

Also, Im HYPED AS FOOK TO SEE BO FIGHT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

<{JustBleed}>{<Mcgoat}:meow:

Well that's simple. He's probably not actually an MMA fan. He most likely watches MMA to see people get hurt.

Bud, did you change your hair? Something is different about you...

I'll be shocked if it makes it out of the first round.

Yeah, I was being mildly conservative not knowing the nature of Bo's injury and knowing that Pickett's had time to train like mad all this time... not that I expect it to amount to anything. I still have Bo by Sub in Round 1 on my Tap lol

Dude is fighting Jamie Pickett. Even if I was excited for him, I wouldn't be excited for the matchup.

He's fighting the 70th ranked middleweight on a losing streak while sherdog brags about how easily he is gonna smash Alex and Izzy, what do we need to get hyped up for?

This is the reality of it.

Bo's fighting an opponent with an abysmal 2-4 UFC record, and that is against other fringe at best UFC talent. Pickett doesn't belong in the UFC, which is why he got booked with Bo.

After Bo takes out a few guys who don't belong, he'll get booked in some interesting fights, and it'll be big talk around here.

Personally I'm fine with this, what else can you do when someone has such a tremendous pedigree and will stream roll regional talent? You have to give them the lowest quality UFC fighters available to get some more experience.

No you don't.
It's a total waste and reinforces the idea that the UFC should be loaded with cans.
If he wants tuneups he should be fighting regionally or on the Cantender Series.
The normalization of absolute trash jobbers getting smashed on main cards of big events is a gross dumbing down of the sport.

You probably can't (and certainly shouldn't) get someone with only 3 fights MMA experience on the regional circuit against top 20 ranked opponents.

That is not safe and is exactly why rankings should exist and be used by sanctioning bodies.

So having the least experience means you fight someone else who has a low quality UFC record. This isn't controversial stuff, the greener you are, the lower ranked opponent you get.

These match ups should be illegal for the UFC to make.

To all those who bitching that Nickal hasn't done shit and haven't proven anything.

No shit. That's the whole point of hyping a prospect. This makes the sport fun for hardcore fans like us. We discover the diamonds in the rough, the uber prospects like Jones, Adesanya, Ngannou, Islam, Khamzat before anyone else. We increase the hype, educate the masses and generate excitement for fights that otherwise would just be some 3-0 guy debuting in the UFC against some (2-4 UFC) can.

We also find gems like Duffee, Erick Silva, Aaron Pico and Brandon Thatch. That also generates excitement in terms of hate and all these know-it-alls giving us shit in return.

So yes, Bo Nickal would easily finish Alex Pereira in one round (I mean, Adesanya outwrestled Poatan!). He would have a harder time with Adesanya, but no doubt lay and pray him to a close UD. Nickal will reign MW for 2 years until Khamzat moves up permanently.

nonsense.
Brock Lesnar got sanctioned at 1-0 to fight Frank Mir.

Yes, out of the rolling 500 roster count over the last 2 decades, you can find less than a handful of examples of this.

Extraordinary outliers don't make the rule. Its weird having to type this out.

What is shocking about this is that these odds are far wider than Couture vs. Toney. I think Couture was only about -600 vs. Toney.... And Gall -400 vs. CM Punk.
I wonder what Royce Hughes was, I think back then, along with the Toney fight, general people didn't understand enough about the sport. Gall / Punk was free money and people should have been smarter. But to your point, I don't think I've ever seen odds like this before.
