Kinda, although his debut opponent isn't any better than the two guys he beat on Contender Series.

Pickett lost twice on the Contender Series until he finally fought someone who was worse than him.

To be fair people were hyping Khamzat as a 2 weight champ after he beat John Phillips and Rhys McKee.

Pickett is at least comparable to those two if not better.

Nah people did that after he went up a weight class and KO'd Meerschaert with the first punch thrown in the fight. Not to mention his first two UFC fights were 10 days apart, and the fact that he was barely getting hit, at all. If Nickal can do any of those things he'll get hype.
